We cannot say enough good things about the patience and guidance they provided us during this long Journey. We sold our house during a crazy snow storm and Mike even came out and shoveled our deck for listing pictures while Cathy helped us get through paper work.When the time came to buy our next house Mike was so patient and willing to answer questions and schedule viewings. He always found a way to make viewings work even if there were 12 people standing outside waiting to get in behind us. Even while on vacation they helped us schedule viewings and put together offers. ZillowVERIFIED Cathy Peters emailed us and asked us for a review. Her request for a review opened up some issues that we felt required a fair and honest assessment of how we felt about the entire process of the sale of our home. We sent our response in a personal email to her and did not receive any response back. To begin, I interviewed another agent and Cathy Peters from Remax All Pro. Both had exceptional qualifications. The transaction and sale of our home sold based on the contract we signed. So why this review? In this unique buyers market, we were very hesitant about paying a 5% commission along with determining a value of what our home is worth in this buyers market. I asked Cathy why she felt she was worth 5% commission in a buyers market like this? She explained how her marketing strategy, particularly brochures and pictures of house, were superior. I gave Cathy a commitment over text that we would hire her as our real estate agent. In the meantime, before we signed a contract with Cathy, the other agent said she had a buyer for our home (which they purchased). I felt it would have been unethical of us to switch to the other agent (which could have saved us money in commission) since I had already texted a confirmation to hire Cathy.In the end, we paid a 5% commission, and the immediate sale of our home meant that Cathy did not have to produce brochures, supply pictures/video to market our home or even list on MLS. We feel that we did the right thing by hiring Cathy (because we gave her our aEURoewordaEUR?) knowing we could have saved money in commission with the other agent. So Cathy do you feel you really earned that 5% commission? In hindsight, I feel the other agent not only had a fair commission in this market, but had a better understanding of how to place value on a home in this buyers market.
