ZillowVERIFIEDOur experience with Cathy Duff Poritskys team at Compass was exceptional from start to finish. We reached out almost a year before putting our house on the market and they were by our side from that moment on. They guided us through prepping the house for sale, clearing out stuff that we had accumulated over years and unnerving market shifts. At every step, they were attentive, communicative and extremely knowledgeable. We followed their recommendations for staging, paint, flooring, and other touch ups and the vendors they suggested were all fantastic. In particular, the attorney for the closing and an expediter we used to help with finalizing some permits and dealing with some unusual situations through the town. On top of that, we were looking for a rental property and they managed to find one that perfectly matched our very long and specific preferences. I dont know how they found it, but they did. We would joke with her that we would miss her humor and regular contact after the sale was done and its true. Missing the team! We wholeheartedly recommend her group and will not hesitate to have them be our first call in the future.

ZillowVERIFIED We interviewed multiple real estate brokers and Cathy was clearly far above the others. As my family has little experience selling a home, I cannot say enough of Cathy's willingness to answer questions, provide guidance, and make suggestions to benefit us by effectively selling our home. The planning materials Cathy provided were extremely helpful in creating a plan to ready the home to go on the market. Cathy was very responsive, following up with returning calls or text messages very quickly. She laid out a clear timeline, kept us on track and ensured we hit the best listing date to maximize our return. When it came to judging offers, her knowledge was unbelievably valuable, helping us in choosing the best offer for our situation. Having worked in corporate America for 40 years, I value those who provide a plan, guidance, and communicate well and in the end, Cathy delivered what she promised. Cathy has my highest level of recommendation as she is a professional, knows her business and delivered for us.

ZillowVERIFIED I cannot thank Cathy and her team enough for their exceptional support during a challenging time. Selling my deceased mother's estate was emotionally daunting, but their professionalism, empathy, and expertise made the process smoother than I ever imagined. From strategic pricing to stellar marketing, they went above and beyond to ensure a successful sale. Their communication was prompt and clear, keeping me informed every step of the way. In addition to selling the home, she helped my family and I with the entire junk removal process. She knew which items we could donate to which agencies. We needed help to get the lock changed and within 24 hours Cathy had the lock changed and was ready to go. She made herself available to my entire family whenever we needed her even when she was on vacation. I cannot say enough positive things about Cathy. I highly recommend Cathy and her team to anyone seeking a compassionate and effective realtor.

ZillowVERIFIED Cathy and her team were an amazing asset. They represented the Apartment professionally and described its every detail properly. Their presentation excelled above other brokers we have worked with in the past and we highly recommend them to any buyer or seller. They recognized the true value of my apartment, and they did not rush the selling process by using "low ball' - quick sale tactics. Cathy and her team were transparent in communication and informative on the progress, as the sale moved through different stages. Their team is extremely efficient in their leveraging of talents and handling tasks. Simply said, they get the job done!

ZillowVERIFIED Cathy, Sarah, Amber and the rest of the team were fantastic to work with! They worked tirelessly to prep my mother's home of 54 years and priced it accurately, generating many offers over asking. When deal #1 fell through (through no fault of theirs), they swooped in to save the day with another deal. Throughout the process they were excellent communicators, looked after my mother's home and met vendors on our behalf since it was vacant and no family members lived in the area and stayed on top of every detail. I highly recommend this team for listing your home!

ZillowVERIFIED Cathy and her team were wonderful. First, they gave us valuable advice and insight about what we could do to our home before putting it on the market. Then, they arranged for a cleaning, a pre inspection and staging. When all was ready (a very short time) the team had an open house. Thanks to these steps and a perfect asking price based on a keen knowledge of the market, we had several offers within a week, and finally accepted an offer above asking price. Cathy and her team turned what could have been a very difficult time into a quick success. We absolutely could not have done it without them.

ZillowVERIFIED Cathy Duff-Poritzky and Sheryl Abelson were the dream team - Every process from start to finish was professional, and efficient. From the start, they guided me how best to present my home for sale, organized the staging, and kept me apprised of each showing, and the feedback - on a VERY slick digital platform. 15 showings, 2 offers - in a week's time - and Cathy's knowledge of negotiation - and respect from other Realtors - solidified the deal above asking. Thank you to Cathy, Sheryl, the entire CDP Team - as well as Compass for a really great user interface and professional materials!

ZillowVERIFIED We worked with both Cathy and her colleague Sheryl in buying our new home in Yorktown Heights. From the start, even though we were out of state and with COVID restrictions, they were able to organize all the showings we wanted, doing several tours for us virtually. They knew a LOT about the neighborhood and really made us feel like we were in good hands and well taken care of. This was the first time either my husband or I had bought a property like this, and Cathy and Sheryl were excellent resources throughout the process.

ZillowVERIFIED It took two years for her to sell my home. I received a world full of excuses. Unfortunately Covid happened. She happened to cost me at least $20,000 in fees not even discussed with me. I dont find that reputable. Her last words to me I hope you Find peace. Peace would not be costing me 20 grand in fixing up a home that shouldve been maintained all along.

ZillowVERIFIED Two aspects of Cathy's selling our house stood out as remarkable. - MARKETING SKILL : Cathy provided excellent detailed analyses to justify and set the asking price, arranged appropriate staging of the property, produced the best virtual tour and photos we have seen when compared with many other homes, and educated us on the many details of selling which we had been unaware of. - FLEXIBILITY : Cathy deftly navigated thru unexpected medical issues we encountered early in the process, the removal/replacement of our oil tank, and several other issues in order to arrive at a sale which exceeded the asking price. Her advice and explanations were reassuring throughout the entire process. We could not have asked for more.

ZillowVERIFIED My fiancA(C) and I were so fortunate to have worked with Cathy Duff-Poritzky and her team in finding our dream home. We are first time home buyers with no background knowledge in the home buying process. Within our first meeting with both Cathy and Anna Priskie we knew we were in the right hands. Cathy and Anna were patient and supportive in helping us pinpoint the exact home we were looking for. Throughout the entire process, they were there for us every step of the way and were always available to answer any of our questions via phone or email. Their expertise, knowledge and level of communication went beyond our expectations. We found our dream home right as the pandemic began to hit. This would have been the most nerve-racking time for us as first time home buyers had it not been for Cathy and Anna. They remained in contact with us throughout, which reassured my fiancA(C) and I that we were with the right agency. By the end of the process Cathy, Anna and the entire team felt more like family to us. We have nothing but positive things to say about this agency and would highly recommend them to anyone looking for their dream home.
