The relationship between Carrie and myself (my family) goes back many years. This was the first time we needed to use her in a professional manner. It was a very sensitive situation...we were selling our "family" land/cabin that we built and had for 23 years. There were 4 families involved. As the years went by, our individual families expanded, but we also lost 3 of those family members. It changed the cabin dynamics greatly. The kids got involved in school things or started jobs. One of the families started a business. All of these things led to the cabin not being used to it's full potential by all the family members. We were so fortunate that we had Carrie handle everything. She knew our backstory, and she had gone through most of it with us. Carrie knew it was going to be an emotional process for everyone, and she handled herself very professionally. She knew how to be empathetic and chose the right words at the right times.
