Carla Shaheed

Since 2009, clients and colleagues throughout the Bay Area have described Carla Shaheed as an understanding partner, a determined ally, and a passionate advocate. A champion of homeownership for all, Carla thrives when she's helping people of diverse backgrounds achieve their dreams. Her clientele includes everyone from first-time and move-up buyers to sellers, retirees, relocators, and military personnel; and her trustworthiness, ethics, and integrity are evident in everything she does. Carla is a proud native of the Bay Area who grew up in Richmond, California, where her mother provided a good example of entrepreneurship, work ethic, and determination. When she was young, Carla watched her mother make sacrifices to improve life for her and her sister. Later in life, Carla realized that her mother made those sacrifices to provide them with lives full of opportunity -- not just things -- and for that, Carla will be forever grateful. Carla has also learned that her mother's sacrifices set her up with the greatest causal factor in success -- determination. When the going gets tough, and most would give up, Carla gets tougher and goes harder. That attitude has made Carla indispensable to her clients, who are mostly repeat and referral buyers and sellers. A title and escrow background, along with Certified Probate Real Estate Specialist (CPRES) and Certified Distressed Property Expert(R) (CDPE) certifications, has also given Carla a holistic understanding of the industry and the expertise to help her clients overcome any real estate obstacle. Additionally, a league of mentors and peers has played an integral role in her clients' success and happiness, as well as her own. Carla holds a bachelor's degree in human development from California State University, East Bay, an accomplishment that took 10 purposeful years to realize while juggling a full-time job and a young family. Her past experiences have shaped her role as a mother as much as a professional.
