Motif understands selling your home can be emotional, and we’re here for you. We will spend time talking about the reasons and motivations behind the sale of the property, and we discuss expectations and any limitations that may affect the showing of the home. We then devise a game plan and timeline that fits your needs, budget, and personality. Much of our focus is on historic homes. These homes have such character – but they possess their own set of challenges. We can accurately price your home, even when no other comparable listings are available, and appeal to the specialized buyer, using the marketing strategy developed over years to target buyers who appreciate the vintage charm of older homes. And as Senior Real Estate Specialists, we know downsizing or selling a home – perhaps one you’ve lived in for decades – isn’t easy, but it can also be exciting. We can make this less stressful by coordinating any or all aspects of the process. We even have a team of people to help clean, downsize, pack and move (if necessary). In some circumstances, we may recommend modifications that can help active adults stay in their home longer.

At Motif our clients range from all areas be it first time homebuyers to seniors looking to downsize. Because our niche is historic homes, most of our clients enjoy living near downtown in vibrant homes and neighborhoods. We cater to many artists looking for a work life balance under one roof, sellers looking to stay in their neighborhood of 40+ years, but in a more suitable home, and we have helped many people relocate from out of state or the country who want to work with an expert who knows pocket neighborhoods.

Born and raised in San Antonio, my first job was working in my mother’s real estate company. After graduating from Princeton University, I worked in both residential and commercial real estate on the West Coast and Louisiana before returning home to focus on our community. I am a supporter of many local art, conservation, and historic preservation groups. I am also both a Senior Real Estate Specialist and a Historic Homes Specialist.

I am the broker/owner of Motif, and am certified in many areas, but the biggest benefit I bring to my clients is my experience. I have been working in real estate since a child accompanying my mom on open houses. I know this city, the pocket neighborhoods, and the ins and outs of homes. Often, I know the family history of the home! Each neighborhood has a distinct personality as do the homes. I can advise my buyers on locations based on their wants, along with referring them contractors and recommend specific inspections for particular homes. For my sellers, I know how to accurately price their home and market it to niche buyers who want a pink and blue bathroom!
