I'm the host of a real estate news show on BurbankLocals.com, where we break down local market insights and spotlight Burbank's growth. Community has always been an important part of my life. Over the years, I've enjoyed staying involved in simple, hands-on ways -- coaching youth softball through Burbank Parks & Rec, helping at local sports events, and supporting school programs whenever the need came up. I also try to show up where I can -- whether it's a neighborhood clean-up, a charity drive, or a small community event. Burbank has been our home for nearly four decades, and giving back to the place that's given us so much simply feels right.

HOBBIES/INTEREST

I love starting my day with early-morning hikes in the Verdugo Mountains. I'm a regular at local farmers markets -- I never leave without fresh flowers or honey. I enjoy exploring new coffee shops around Burbank. I like volunteering at community events whenever I can. I love discovering new taco spots and mentally ranking them. I'm a renovation-show addict and always guess the budget before the reveal. On Sundays, I'll often pop into open houses just for fun and inspiration. I enjoy gardening -- especially keeping my succulents alive and thriving. Oh, & Golf!!

FAMILY

I've been married to my beautiful wife, Kathy, for 36 years, and we've been proud Burbank residents for nearly four decades. This city is where we built our life together -- where we were blessed to raise our daughter, Samantha, and watch her grow up surrounded by a community that truly feels like family. Some of my favorite memories are from the years I spent coaching her softball teams through Burbank Parks & Rec and cheering on her local sports events. Being involved in this community has always been a privilege, and it's a big part of who I am. Before becoming a realtor, I worked as a general contractor. Reading "Rich Dad Poor Dad" opened my eyes to a different path, one where I could take my understanding of homes, neighborhoods, and people and use it to guide families toward opportunities that could change their lives. That decision ultimately led me right back to the heart of the place I love most: helping the Burbank community grow, thrive, and feel at home.

Bryan Ochse and his team at Media West (Luke & Patty) are truly top tier. My wife and I were purchasing our first home and were very novice to the entire process. Bryan truly treated us like family and guide us through every step of the way. He never rushed us, pressured us, and always gave us the information to make an informed decision. He even gently steered us away from inadequate homes (that my wife and I couldn?t tell were inadequate), even when we liked them, because he knew that ultimately they wouldn?t be the right fit. My husband and I recently had the opportunity to buy a house. We have worked with other realtors before, but were not bowled over. So we decided to go with a local realtor we knew of, Bryan Ochse of Media Realty. Bryan?s staff immediately started sending us emails of listings matching our needs, which I suppose all realtors do. (They didn?t twenty -- or even six -- years ago!) Then we set up some days of house-visiting, which is where we experienced all the difference. Bryan is something of a tornado of a guy. He acts quickly, he?s exceptionally knowledgeable and he?s funny to boot! To awkwardly misquote Fleetwood Mac, he made house hunting fun. I cannot stress this part enough: while very entertaining, Bryan really knows his stuff! He can look at a wall and guess (correctly) why it may look like it does. He also knows the world of financing and negotiating inside out and got us a better price than we ever expected. My husband is extremely logical and detail-oriented; I am crazier and hate detail. Bryan was able to shift between our communication styles seamlessly. He made what could be a miserable, dragged-out experience an actual pleasure ? even when it was more than 100 degrees outside!
