ZillowVERIFIED I love when the universe intervenes on my behalf. I sent out a generic inquiry on a random house and Bryan Dillow responded. After our first conversation, I knew he was good people. I honestly don't think we would have been able to have such an amazing experience without him. I don't think that I would have trusted anyone else to guide us through this process or have my back like he did. Bryan answered my anxiety filled texts anytime, at noon or 2:00am. He talked me down every time I freaked out and told him I changed my mind. He listened while I rambled about how I wanted "new but not new-new" or "nice but not model home nice". He figured out what I wanted before I did. His great attention to detail and experience in the market, in addition to his ability to see possibilities where I only saw dead ends, was a blessing. Dave and I were able to be ourselves and actually enjoyed looking for homes and hanging out with Bryan, well past normal business hours. I am so glad that the universe crossed our paths. ZillowVERIFIED I was new to the Bloomington area and looking for my first house. I was immediately overwhelmed by the market. Or, maybe I should say underwhelmed. Coming from downstate I was used to a housing market that was plentiful and affordable. I wasn't prepared for the aggressive market of Bloomington / Normal. I knew that I didn't want a townhome or condo, I wanted a small house in a nice neighborhood. I was shocked by how quickly those disappear. I knew that I needed someone to help me navigate the waters. Enter Bryan. We immediately hit it off. Bryan's energy is infectious, if at times exhausting. His knowledge of the area is extensive. I really believe he knows someone on every street. Through our search we were able to find a neighborhood that I really liked. We looked at one house that we thought was pretty great. Upon our second look Bryan helped in pointing out many things that I may not be happy with in the future. I decided to take a weekend to think about it, and wouldn't you know it, it was sold. Overall, I'm glad I passed on it. Less than two weeks later I found the place I now call home. I got just what I wanted an affordable cozy house in a nice neighborhood. Bryan was a great help through the entire process. As a first time buyer, I really had no idea what to do. Bryan was on top of things and even helped in finding me a great mortgage pro that was able to get me every deal a first time home buyer is entitled to. Overall, I recommend Bryan. He's a great guy, and I look forward to seeing him around town.

ZillowVERIFIED I am the kind of person that believes that God tends to bring people together to work great miracles in each others lives throughout this time on Earth and Bryan happens to be one of those people that God sent in my directions to answer my prayers. It all started in the fall of 2012, my husband and I were very recently married and we were in the process of joining all of our accounts together and everything and we decided, hey, lets see what it would take for us to get our own home. I had been checking out houses in the area through Trulia for some time and I thought I had an idea of what our price range would be and had found some promising houses. The first thing we did was go to our financial institution (CEFCU) to see if we could qualify for a loan through them. They left us feeling hopeless really. They had all these rules about past employer history and we had to have 5% in the savings account for 6 months before we could even consider getting approved. Here I am thinking, I have to have $5,000 in the bank before we could even start looking?! There's no way we were going to be able to do that anytime soon. So much for being done with the renting game :( but even though we were told that I just couldn't stop there. I had to make sure I was getting all the information possible even though it felt hopeless. Oh, I forgot to mention my husband and I were both 20 at this time. So as a last burst of determination I decided to throw a question out onto Trulia asking the agents is it really impossible for ones as young as us to even think about buying a home? Lo and behold the lovely Bryan was one of the agents who answered my question. Well, I tend to be really nervous in new situations where I just put myself out there and in his answer he offered for us to have a meeting and he said "call or text" and that instantly caught my attention. I am a much braver texter than a caller. So I shot him a text and he called me later to get more info and to set up a meeting. At the meeting I would say he seemed pretty surprised and happy at our preparedness for what we were attempting to embark on. Of course he explained the whole process in detail which was very helpful, and he also told us that the first big hurdle was indeed getting pre-approval from a mortgage company. Luckily Bryan had just recently left employment at MSI and had quite a few friends that he could send us to, which was very lucky for us indeed. He sent us to a very knowledgeable and helpful Loan Officer Dave Usiak. We were so shocked when we were approved for a loan. My husband and I honestly couldn't believe it after what CEFCU had said to us. We also did have help from FHA and IDA as well. After that we were able to move on to the house hunting process. We went I believe 2 times. The first time was just one house and it was okay. The second time we went around to a lot of different homes. Both of these occasions were on weekends and I was so happy when Bryan was able to arrange it to be on a weekend. My husband and I both have busy work schedules throughout the week and that sometimes causes us to miss a lot of opportunities but Bryan made it work for us. The day we visited many homes, one of the homes looked great on the inside and outside but the basement was in pretty bad shape. Honestly as a naive "wanting to build a nest" woman I may have said we could just deal with the basement if it wasn't for Bryan's guidance. He told us to really walk away from it because the costs in repairs would be giant and he knew it wasn't something we could tackle. Bryan is the kind of guy that really looks out for his buyers for the long term and isn't just trying to sell a house to you. After looking at a few more houses that had some issues I was starting to get disheartened. I was beginning to think that we were never going to find a house in our price range that wasn't going to have problems of some sort and that we were going to have to settle. But Bryan wisely told us never to settle because you never know what will be on the market tomorrow. We had one more house to look at that evening and it was the most perfect house for us. He jumped right on the ball to make sure we had all of our bases covered and that we could get an offer in. He also was very very good at the negotiations process. We bounced back and forth a few times with it and wound up with an amazing price and a lot of bonuses that I never would have thought we could score. My husband and I couldn't have been more blessed. As now 21 years olds in our first home, people come over and are shocked to see what an amazing place we have. I think we will be in this home for life. This whole process started in the fall of 2012, we made an offer at the beginning of January and were moved in by the end of February. Bryan (and Dave) made the entire process so incredibly easy for us. I don't think I was ever even overwhelmed once. (Maybe when we were unpacking, haha) I am so glad we didn't give up.
