ZillowVERIFIED When it comes to service providers I often have possibly unreasonably high expectations, but Brooks met and exceeded them from start to finish. I felt like I was super demanding and unreasonable and yet he was always friendly, responsive, and efficient. I personally also appreciate salespeople who are able to transcend my common perception of salespeople and be human (and human driven) rather than commission driven. Buying a house is an incredibly stressful experience so it's important to pick the right team to provide advocacy and expertise, and Brooks does that in spades. I will be recommending Brooks to all my househunting friends (actually I already have) and would definitely go back to Brooks/BH the next time I'm stupid enough to want to endure the stress of moving again :)

Even though we did not know much about the area or buying a house in general, it never felt like he was pushing us to purchase a certain type of house in a specific location or time. He is not a aEURoeKnow it allaEUR? type. He went with our pace, listened to our needs well, always showed up on time to homes we picked, and answered all our questions in a timely manner. We never felt rushed even though the market was simply crazy. On top of it all, he made a great suggestion for us to take a look at one of the neighborhoods that had new construction. At the time, we didnt even know that was an option for us. And now, we moved into a brand-new house located in a beautiful neighborhood, and are grateful for it. Looking back at the homes we visited together; from a very orange painted kitchen to a house with a backyard of a giant creek, or a second floor living room window ready for a free fall with no railings; you notice when you find a realtor; you actually pull a person into your life to go on an adventure which will end up with one of the biggest purchases you will ever make in your life. You need a trustworthy and knowledgeable fellow for that, and Brooks fulfills that description.

ZillowVERIFIED Attempted to rent a property through Brooks in the Durham area. At first he was accommodating to my need to locate a property while living remotely. After successfully completing a background check I was ready to sign on the dotted line. However a personal emergency prevented me from having access to email for a couple of days. Seeing as how he had all of my contact information I would assume that he would attempt to contact me through these avenues to finalize the contract. When I apologized for my brief lapse in email communication he absent-mindedly informed me he rented the place out from under me. When I asked for a refund for my background check he complied realizing his error in not providing sufficient contact. The real kicker was the email I received after the refund in which he accused me of fabricating this emergency and showed complete disregard towards any sense of professionalism. Avoid at all cost.
