ZillowVERIFIEDBrian Burke from Coldwell Banker in South Windsor CT, told my realtor to submit last and final offer. We did submit a generous offer and my agent and Brian were discussing the sellers terms. After all set and done. My offer was accepted. My wife and I signed the contract and we worked with the sellers regarding their terms. The next day, I get a call from my agent stating that the buyers received a better offer with no inspections. In other words the agent wants me to buy a half a million dollar house and not do an inspection. What he did is not fair, not only for me but every person looking for a home. If a contract was signed and all final offers were in, why did he continue to receive offers. He gave us the contract and also his word. I guess we cant trust anything he says. A contract and most importantly your word should mean something, but I guess not everyone follows the same rules. My advice is to not do business with Brian Burke. When they accepted the offer my wife and I got really excited because after two years we found our house, to then get the call stating that they gave it to someone else. Imagine the disappointment. He instead of taking other offers, he should have discussed with us if we wanted to match or do something different to accommodate us since we had a signed contract.

ZillowVERIFIEDWe were referred to Brian by friends. We had our house on the market for about 3 months and decided to change agents. Brian told us the house would not sell for our listing price so we had to reduce. I will give it to him, we had a lot of showings and sold the house within a month, BUT....getting responses from him were terrible, and you can definitely tell he was used to selling much larger homes with much larger commissions and ours was not priority to him. I had to reach out to another real estate agent to get answers on some of my questions because we couldn't get them from Brian. The icing on the cake was after closing (which he didn't attend, but I do realize the agents don't always attend) was that he never called and thanked us for our business - until I sent him a text telling him closing went well. He called about 3 days later to "thank" us. I would recommend Linda Goff or Tatyana Makarov, which are the two agents I was able to get answers from, they do the job but they genuinely care about their clients. Brian is definitely only about the bottom dollar.

He didnt really do anything for us, a few other people had to step in for him and explain things to us so we didnt get screwed over because our realtor wasnt around. He pretty much made free money. I honestly think we just werent making him enough commission so he had bigger clients to attend too or hes spread too thin or both. Luckily we dont want to move again because it was a terrible experience.
