We have used Brett to buy and sell our home in the upstate and we could not have been more pleased with our experience. We first got in contact with him during the spring of 2014 when we learned we would be moving to the area. He showed us dozens of homes, all of which fit our description of needs and wants, and we finally found one that we LOVED! He helped us throughout the entire process and we closed on our first home that June! He worked tirelessly for us and we felt that he helped us negotiate a good deal so we were able to get into the home that we wanted! Of course, this year when we discovered we were moving to a different state we knew Brett was the one to sell the home as well! We asked him to come out and give us feedback on ways to make our house market ready, which he gladly did. Once we were ready he sent a professional photographer to come take pictures and we were listed in a matter of days. We were under contract in less than 3 days as well! Getting Bretts advice on preparing our home, having professional pictures taken and posted, and his punctual communication and negotiating helped us sell this home in no time. We closed just a few days ago. We would be using Brett again to buy a new home, but we are moving to a different state - though he did help us find a realtor there which is above and beyond what he ever needed to do for us. Not only is Brett punctual, dedicated, and a great negotiator, he also has a great personality and is incredibly easy to get along with. You end up spending a lot of time together when you are buying or selling so being able to communicate and work fluidly with your realtor is incredibly helpful. We will miss working with him and if we ever move back to the upstate we are certainly calling on Brett to help us buy and sell in the future! Brett was absolutely wonderful to work with! He was very responsive. When I initially interviewed 3 realtors, Brett was the only one who called me back after I left messages that we were going to try to sell on our own. What started out as a typical real estate home sell, turned out to be not so typical. All said and done however, I am thankful that Brett Smagala was on our team. We netted a succesful closing resulting in a happy seller, happy buyer and a happy real estate agent. Brett gave us solid advisement in the matters that he could while never pressuring us to make one decision over the other. As I understand in the profession of real estate, obstacles are just part of it, but Brett stepped up providing outstanding service and helped us ensure we didnt lose sight of the ultimate goal.
