We matched with Brett when we first saw a house we were interested in on Zillow and he was immediately very communicative and responsive. He encouraged us to look at a few properties to make sure we saw a variety of houses and neighborhoods and really got a sense of our priorities from Day 1. After the first day of looking he took the time to gauge where we were in the home buying process, what our budget looked like and what our priorities in a home were. When we left the last home, we joked that we may not have found a house but we did find a Realtor. As the process continued it became obvious how true that was, Brett was very insightful about the Montgomery County market including what houses would ultimately sell for vs listing, what potential pitfalls or fixes would need to be addressed, and what the locations might go quickly vs sit on the market for a bit. All while never pressuring us to exceed budget or make snap decisions. As first time homebuyers we had a lot of questions that Brett was always quick to answer and made time to make sure he was available to show listings we were interested in despite hectic work schedules on our end. When it came time to make an offer he explained in detail all of our options and make sure we had a competitive bid, ultimately securing the contract on the first house we bid on. When our banks were dragging their feet he was able to provide a recommendation that helped us secure financing at a better rate than we were previously quoted. He was happy to provide recommendations for all of the pre-home buying services without pushing us into any one particular vendor. When buying with Brett and his team as your agents, you definitely have a full team on your side looking out for your interests. I can confidently say we would not have been able to buy our first house without him. I would rate higher if I could!

ZillowVERIFIED We met Brett Rubin thorough Zillow when trying to book a time for an open house online. We were thinking of using a real estate agent we used in the past at some point as we havent committed to buying a home so fast and just wanted to look at one open house. After meeting Brett at that property, you can say the rest is history. We realized how knowledgeable and non pushy he was. We liked his energy, attitude but above all knowledge of the Montgomery and Howard Counties. As the school systems were important to us, he was able to quickly help us narrow down the areas in the counties we desired not just in the big county. Brett knew the ratings, rankings but also gave us his unbiased opinion about each property we saw or thought about seeing. Honestly, we worked with various agents in the past and the home buying process wasnt new to us but learned so much from Brett when it came to buying a home. He also has a background in inspections so he actually helped us out even while looking at houses. He was NEVER frustrated as we went back and forth about a house, while waiting for our approval process (as we actually started that after we saw the first couple of houses with him); while we were contemplating or asking multiple questions. The best part of it was that Brett was available, accessible, kind, and took our home buying process as if he was working with one of his family members. We had questions about diversity of neighborhoods, culture etc and Brett was open, honest and above all transparent. We bought our current house, in a great neighborhood, for a great price because of him and his skills. He even went above and beyond to clear some issues with zoning few days before out closing. We are currently updating our home, and the contractor we are using is one of his contacts. He has so much knowledge in the areas of real estate, construction and home buying process in general. And the listing he has is great because you will see properties before they are available, which will help you in preparing. It did help us. I know this post is long, but we couldnt just leave a short aEUR~he is amazing post and not state the few reasons. Honestly, we are so glad we went with Brett, and we know we made a lifelong friend with him. There are so many agents you could go with but one who cares about your wants and needs; one who respects what you value and respects your opinions is a rare find. ZillowVERIFIED Most people in sales (myself included) say that they are "customer-oriented and dedicated to making things simple for them." This statement has never been more true than during the past 12 months I worked with Brett to find my first home. Brett was cordial and curious, and always responded quickly no matter the time of day. My process started this time last year when a friend referred me to Brett. After a quick phone call, he set up a custom search based on what we spoke about for my wife and me to start exploring the market. While we were upfront and told Brett that we would not be ready to purchase until later on in 2021, he recommended we pick a house we like and go to a showing so he can sit us down and review the entire purchasing process. Looking back, and speaking with friends who recently purchased a home made me realize how much clarity that sitdown provided. We knew what to look for in listings and the best way to search for a lender. Brett was incredibly flexible with us living in VA and looking in Montgomery County. My wife does not have a 9-5 schedule and Brett worked around us. We often met to view listings late at night during the week or a couple of hours before an open house. Brett shined during the offer and negotiation stage of the process. He understands the market and is an "outside-the-box" thinker. We ended up closing on a home after competing against 33 other offers. It turned out that about 10 of those offers were for more money than our winning offer which is something I would have never considered in this market. Brett would proactively text us with ideas of how to improve our offer during the negotiation process with the seller's agent. The feather in the cap was when Brett was able to convince the selling agent to accept a counter on closing costs that SAVED US MONEY while making it seem like a concession to the seller. If you can't tell how great of a realtor Brett is by this point in the review, I would either recommend you read it again or accept the fact that your real estate journey will be much harder than it needs to be.

My apartment caught on fire in the middle of the pandemic and my family and I had to start over. I was given his number at 6 in the evening and texted immediately I was so desperate. He was my third Realator and I didnt have much hope for him finding us anything in this market. Needless to say he text me back immediately then called and spoke with my husband and I. Prayed for my family and said dont worry. I got yall !!! He began work immediately and he actually worked !!! He was very knowledgeable, very honest , and not pushy at all. He made us feel like we were with family. Even when stuff didnt go our way. He reassured us that we would be fine. He talked about the neighborhood and did a thorough walk through. We were able to get to MD fir the weekend and he set up appointments for all we wanted to see, including one that didnt meet our criteria but I saw at the last minute. He took care of everything - from the preinspection to the offer, to recommending loan officer, local workers aEUR|. even brought us chairs when we moved in sans furniture.
