After doing some research she gave me Brenda Timm's name/number. It turns out she was in the office on a Sunday afternoon catching up on some work and answered my call. It was a one in a million chance for me to find Ms. Timm.She immediately went over and viewed the property within 2-3 days, suggested some minor remodeling tips (painting, a couple of light fixtures, 2 doors replaced, etc.) and had a contractor in to do the work the next week. For the sale, she advised me that I should stage the apartment to achieve a higher price point. Among her recommendations were to expose the wood floors, paint, rent furniture, buy new curtains and remove most of my existing furniture. I was skeptical at first but followed her advice and we ended up getting 8% over our asking price. On the buy side, she was just as impressive. She helped me look over quite a few months and showed me an apartment that I thought was out of my price range. She was able to negotiate a price, however, that was within my budget on an apartment that will be a great long term investment. Brenda made my experience of selling one co-op and purchasing another much, much easier. Both situations were prolonged and exhausting due to buyers of my home and sellers of where I wanted to buy. ZillowVERIFIED Not all realtors are created equal. Theyll all tell you that the price for your house will be the same irrespective of which realtor you go with. This is because, they say, they all base their pricing on what other houses in the neighborhood of a similar footprint recently sold for.Not exactly true. I interviewed multiple realtors and the prices they gave me had of $60,000 range.None of them aEUR" except Brenda aEUR" actually knew the neighborhood well enough to know which comps to use. Brenda knew my neighborhood so well that she knew that my particular block had about three different pricing structures. Her price came in at exactly what I knew it should be based on the comp research I had done myself. Had I listened to any of the other realtors, I would be out $60,000!Throughout the process, Brenda always responded to my phone calls and texts, no matter how crazy I got during the process, no matter how many times I needed my hand held. (Youd think this would go with the territory. After all, selling your house is how realtors make their living. But I have called many realtors over the years about houses they had listed for sale and many of them never called me back.)Brenda had three full price (and over) offers the first week, so she must have been calling back prospective buyers.I cant recommend her highly enough.
