With this knowledge we were quickly able to find a lawyer to navigate the probate process and get the home on the market fairly quickly. Bob and his team seemed to anticipate every question or need that I had and always were a few steps ahead of me making sure the sale process moved forward quickly and efficiently. I was very impressed by his strategy, contacts, due diligence and follow through AND RESULTS!!!I spoke with a few Realtors before choosing Bob. After all, this is the biggest single purchase you are likely to make in your lifetime, and you cannot afford to go with 2nd best, as it could easily cost you a 100k-200k.While the other Realtors tried to win me over with their more "upbeat personality & social skills", Bob won me over with his thoughtfulness, understanding of the market and experience. As an example, I had asked Bob to evaluate my "walk away" fee based on a sale scenario being complete. He evaluated it very quickly, to a very close proximity I had done earlier, while the other 4 Realtors seemed to struggle with this basic computation.Bob was very professional throughout the process, knew who to contact, and what to say to get things done and done right! He did a great virtual 3D tour among other things.And thanks to Bob, my home sold on 10/4/2022 for than the MLS listing price, in an area when sales were plummeting with interest rates rising quickly. He gave us great advice on what and what not to do. Every time we were in need of advice or answer a question, Bob made himself available. He gave us great advice on how to get our home ready to go onto the market including suggesting paint colors and other needed upgrades for the house. When we needed some extra help to finish projects at our house, Bob provided us with contractors who specialize in residential projects. They did quality work for a fair price and fit us into their already busy schedules.We highly recommend Bob whether your selling or buying a home and will defiantly use him in the future should we be in need of a realtor!

Bob is a fine and efficient Realtor however we became frustrated when he kept presenting us with huge amount of paperwork to "sign", presented in increments. Bob should have warned us about this up front. Also, we (seller) had to pay all pre-sale inspection costs, sewer upgrade. Buyer should have paid for desired inspections and cost of sewer upgrade should have been split between buyer and seller. He did negotiate an excellent sale price but the pre-sale costs were a burden. He should have been more transparent or informative about his sales methods.

Review Hello,I feel so compelled to write this positive feedback on Bob Frey; however, before I provide feedback on Bob as a realtor I'd like to give some history on how we met.He was my daughter's softball coach for four years and the integrity I saw in this man made me trust him with the one thing I hold most precious in this world - my daughter. He was the type of coach who believed that yes I have a top 3% group in my mix, but I want my bottom three to be just as productive and skilled. He not only played his top productive members on the team he played ALL of the members. He helped all of his team members to improve their skill set.At one point he had heard some of the team members talking about members on another team and without shaming them or pointing fingers at who was talking, he commented on how sportsmanship is an important part of playing on a team as is self-respect and respecting others. So after this dialogue or monologue how could you not trust a man with such a high moral compass.I took this knowledge and ran with it and asked him to be the realtor to sell my mom's property. It was a very hard and emotional time for me because it was the last tangible thing I had of both my childhood and my parents since they both had already passed. His compassion and understanding of how challenging this sell was for me truly helped me through the process. Review In early December 2020, I wife and I decided to sell our home of 35+ years in Castro Valley to move out of California. We knew we wanted a local real estate agent, and Bob Freys name immediately came to mind. We knew about Bob because of his involvement in the community, putting on a fabulous Christmas display every year, and the fact that he lived in our immediate area. We also knew of his knowledge of real estate in the area from all the homes that he had sold in the Castro Valley area.We contacted Bob expressing the fact that we would like to have him sell our home as soon as possible. Bob immediately went to work. He has contacts with a fantastic interior designer that staged our home. It was an absolute joy to work with her to stage our home so that photos and videos could be taken. Bob also set up contacts so that all necessary home inspections could be completed. Bob used his skills to photograph and used a drone to capture clips of our home in preparation for the multiple listings. The photos and videos were unbelievable in quality. From the date we signed with Bob, it was 12 days and the home went up on the market. Our home actually went on the market on a Friday afternoon, and within hours Bob informed us that appointments were being made for the next day to view the house. By Saturday evening, 24 hours after the house went up on the market, we received an offer we could not refuse. Bob continued to handle all the issues related to the sale of the house all the way to the closing of escrow. Being in our senior years, 70+, I thought I would be more stressed with a life altering change like this, but thanks to Bob, it was seamless and no stress. One very unique quality Bob possesses is the value of his aEUR~spoken word. Bobs spoken word is is so credible that it is better than a handshake or a written contract. Review I met with Bob before the pandemic when my rental property still had tenants to discuss putting up the property for sale. Bob sat down with us and listened to our concerns and was able to answer our questions. When the tenants moved out, he did a walk through during shelter in place and gave us suggestions on what we should fix up in a timely to get a higher return on investment so that we can list the house ASAP. Since I live 30 miles away, Bob helped us get bids so we could choose contractors. He works with contractors that were professional and got things done in a timely manner. Bob actually checked their work and sent us updates And pictures because we werent leaving our home often due to SIP. Within 2 weeks of the home being listed we got multiple offers and sold the home sooner than I expected. He worked late hours (even talking to us at 10pm because we had to make a decision the next day) and updated us regularly throughout the process. We even closed escrow early. We will be always thankful to him for helping us find this perfect house for our situation and getting us through this process smoothly especially us being first time buyers. We had been looking for a house in the Bay area for about 4 months and placed 3 other offers with 2 other buyers agents. We always lost to others and having to go through the process all over again each time was both draining and stressful. And then we were able to connect with Bob and things changed. First off I want to comment on Bob's calm demeanor which really is soothing when you have to take big decisions that you are not typically used to. He would always lay out all the options, give us his honest opinions/feedback and give us the time to decide on them. His expertise of being in this field for decades and knowing the area really well was tremendously useful. Next off he helped us tour the house multiple times to really get a closer look at the place to easily make up our mind that it met all our needs and we really loved the house.We then moved forward with placing an offer. Bob was methodical in giving us the right compares and closing on an offer price. Closer to the offer deadline he was able to get info on what other offers were in place and go with an offer just a little over the 2nd best offer. That was the difference that made our offer get accepted. We had a ton of questions on everything that needs to happen from the time the offer got accepted to the time we closed as everything was new to us. Bob was always available 24/7, patient and always quick to respond for all our questions. He was methodical with all the paper work that needed to be completed and constantly in touch with our loan officer, escrow officer and making sure we closed on time. He also helped us with getting the right inspections done making sure the house was in great condition and had the sellers pay for minor roof and termite work that needed to be done.We just moved into the house this past weekend and we are so happy with our dream house. We were selling our mother's house after her death, we were grieving, working full time and getting ready to move out of state to a new job. The house was in the name of all 6 of us kids, mostly out of state, which added a lot of differing opinions on what to do. We all were stressed. Review Bob helped tremendously in selling my sons condo after he died unexpectedly. His knowlege of probate law helped me with the process and he went beyond the scope of a real estate agent by taking care of all aspects of getting ready the condo for sale. The cleanup, painting and carpeting was all orchestrated and completed by him. He knew to price the property right and received multiple offers. Bob was fair, honest and reliable.
