ZillowVERIFIEDFor renters, I do not recommend. I can only go by my experience with Bill, as an out of stater moving to Florida. Back in April I was looking to move to the Tampa area but wasn't quite sure where yet I wanted to live. I would be renting and then had a plan to buy a year later. I made a trip to Tampa in March, and narrowed it down, but my realtor (not Bill) was very difficult to get a hold of when I'd find a place online I wanted to look at. Doing this from Dallas, TX was difficult in itself, then having a realtor tell you they're OK w/ working w/ you on a rental, and then NOT helping you at all, made it much worse. After my 2nd realtor blew me off bc she was too busy at her 2nd job, I expressed my frustration on a Moving to Florida Facebook page. That's when Bill Hallman stepped in and offered to help me, knowing I was looking for a rental. I made arrangements to fly down here over Mother's Day weekend, he said he was open and a "workaholic" so it wasn't a problem. I arrived on a Sat., we looked at one place, it wasn't for me so he took me to a community of condos. He passed me off to the manager over the condos and told me he had 6 to show me and Bill said he just knew one of them would work for me! I reluctantly went w/ this new guy I had just met, and Bill went on his way, and said we'd meet up tomorrow to look at a couple more. I said to him, 'you're sure you don't have plans?' and he said he did not (and a little more I won't elaborate on). The manager and I started to talk about the units, and he told me 2 of the units were furnished (I didn't need furnished as I was bringing ALL my belongings, and Bill knew this), 2 didn't allow pets (Bill knew that too), one was currently being lived in but didn't allow pets anyway, and the last was so small it wasn't going to work for me. So, of the 6 units he had to show me, only 1 was a possibility but was too small. I left upset and freaked out, I drove around looking at different apt complexes as a back up, but only had a half hour to do so bc it was close to 5 pm. The next day, I went to church, and thought for sure I would hear from Bill. 2 pm rolled around before I finally called him, no answer. I texted him, and he texted back, "Family day today. Let's set something up for tomorrow morning. What time do you leave the area?" Yes, I was flying back out of Orlando and he wanted to squeeze me in, are you kidding me?! I FLEW HERE TO LOOK AT PROPERTIES AND HE TREATS ME LIKE THIS?! I was furious, I texted him a long text expressing my feelings and never heard another word. I am still pissed about his treatment of me. I have saved the texts. I finally, only by the grace of God, found a rental home on my own over the phone/internet, but the stress this man put on me and the waste of time, will never be forgotten. I wouldn't recommend him as far as I could throw him, and I have a good arm! Bill reached out to me bc he saw, as a renter, that I needed help. He gave me false hope in one of the most stressful times of my life, and I will never forget that!
