Always keep and open mine when searching for a home, you may not always get everything you want, and sometimes you have to compromise, ie. if location is important then sometimes you might have to compromise with somethings you want in a home. Your realtor is there to assist you and will make the home buying process less stressful for you.
I would advise make your home very appealing to buyers, meaning make sure you de-clutter your home before putting on the market and if possible do the necessary updates. Make sure it is neat and not to personal, remove all materials and objects they may distract a potential buyer from making an offer.
I really enjoy working with buyers and sellers. I am a people person so my clientele varies.
