Beth Hover

Q: 1. What advice would you give a buyer trying to purchase a home?

1.MY BEST ADVICE TO BUYERS IS TO BE FLEXIBLE. HAVE A FEW TOP PRIORIETIES FOR WHAT YOU ARE LOOKING FOR IN A HOUSE BUT REALIZE YOU MAY NOT GET EVERYTHING ON YOUR LIST. 2. ALSO GET PREAPPROVED FOR A MORTGAGE SO YOU KNOW WHAT PRICE RANGE TO LOOK FOR A HOME. THERE IS NOTHING WORSE THAN FALLING IN LOVE WITH AT A HOUSE YOU CAN'T AFFORD. 3.ALSO REALIZE YOU NEED TO MOVE FAST IN TODAY'S MARKET. THE MARKET IS MOVING VERY QUICKLY THESE DAYS.

Q: 2. What advice would you give a seller trying to sell their home?

PLEASE DON'T OVERPRICE YOUR PROPERTY. BUYERS OFTEN QUESTION PROPERTIES THAT SIT FOR A LONGTIME- WONDER WHAT IS WRONG WITH THE PROPERTY.

Q: 3. What types of clients have you worked with?

I HAVE WORKED WITH MANY KINDS OF CLIENTS OVER THE YEARS FROM FIRST TIME HOME BUYERS TO PEOPLE WHO ARE SELLING THEIR HOMES TO RETIRE OR MOVE SOUTH.

Q: 4. Describe a recent transaction you are fond of. How did it go?

I SOLD A CLOSE FRIENDS HOUSE WHO WAS MOVING SOUTH. I DID 25 SHOWINGS OVER FOUR DAYS AND HAD FOUR OFFERS BY THAT FRIDAY. THEY ACCEPTED AN OFFER THAT WAS $100,000 OVER ASKING PRICE AND WE CLOSED WITHIN A MONTH AND A HALF.

Q: 5. How did you get started in Real Estate?

WHEN I RETIRED FROM TEACHING IN 2009, I GOT MY LICENSE TO SELL REAL ESTATE BECAUSE i LOVED HOMES AND LOVED HELPING PEOPLE FINDTHEIR PERFECT HOME. I ALSO WANTED TO WORK WITH TWO OF MY SONS WHO WERE REAL ESTATE ATTORNEYS.

Q: 6. Do you have any special education or training that will benefit your clients?

MARK LEADER BUYER'S BOOT CAMP I ALSO HAVE TO DO 22 HOURS OF CONTINUING EDUCATION EVERY TWO YEARS ON VARIOUS REAL ESTATE TOPICS WHICH KEEP ME ABREAST WITH REAL ESTATE LAWS AND PRACTICES.

About Beth Hover

About Beth Ann Hover I taught Elementary Education for 35 years. I also worked in the real estate business on and off during that period of time. I retired in June 2009 and chose to go into real estate full time upon retirement because I enjoy working with people, families and businesses to help them find the perfect place for them to live and do business. I moved to Chatham in 1973 and have been an active member in the community while raising 3 sons with my husband and helping these sons care for our grandchildren . I serve on several MLS/ Real Estate board committees. I also held a seat on the Chatham Central school board for 9 years.I also served on Sean's Run steering committee, and also am the treasurer of the CCSTRA. I feel it is important to give back to my community. My skills include thorough researching and showing properties, negotiating sales and other skills needed to get to the closing table and complete the deal. I also completed Mark Leader's Listing Boot Camp. I would be honored if you were to choose me for your next real estate transaction- either helping you find your next home or selling your present dwelling.

I'm thrilled to have the opportunity to share our experience working with Beth. Not only did she represent our property with the utmost class and respect, she treated us and our home like it was her own. Actually maybe even better. We live relatively far away from this vacation home and it would have been impossible for us to navigate all of the visits, inspections and repairs that needed to be done. Not only did Beth take care of those, but she found the proper contractors or service providers, represented our interests and ensured the best possible outcomes. It would take paragraphs, if not chapters, to detail all her work. So suffice it to say we are 100% satisfied with the opportunity to work with Beth and highly recommend her if you need a trustworthy and responsive agent. Thank you Beth. Our family is forever grateful.

Beth has a drive to get the sale. She is honest with her clients and is very patient and willing to do whatever it takes. She was our agent in both my sons homes and all of my rental properties. In some cases, she was not the listing agent and I got her involved to get the sale because I trusted her and didn't want to start over with new agents.

She listened to what I was looking for and was responsive to my needs. She was observant to my preferences and geared my showings to accommodate. She allowed the home to sell itself without trying to talk me into feeling a certain way about a home.

Beth was extremely helpful when we were searching for our first home. She never tired of our questions, was very available whenever we wanted to look at houses, and helped us find exactly what we wanted within our price range. You can tell that she really loves what she does for a living! We highly recommend her if you are in the market to buy/sell.

Beth helped us find our first home! We looked at over 50 houses and she was so responsive and dedicated to helping us find the house we wanted. She would go above and beyond on finding out anything she could for the house we were going to look at. She truly invests in helping you find the home your looking for.

Over the past 4 years Beth has helped me through 3 very different Real Estate transactions. The first was most difficult as I had to sell the house I grew up in after both of my parents passed away. My sister and I tried to do it by ourselves initially, but quickly realized how much work was involved so we asked Beth if she would represent us and market the house for us. The house sold rather quickly and Beth kept us informed at every step of the way! 2 years later my husband and I randomly found a listing for a house that would end up being our dream home. I called Beth, she got us in for a showing the next day, and we were closed and moved in within 2 months. While we were working on the purchase of our dream home, Beth was working on getting our home sold. Again, she kept us up to date and well informed through every step of it all. Beth was able to answer all of our questions, listened to us if we weren't sure about the way something was going, and was literally available to us 24 hours a day if needed.

Beth sold our house in a matter of weeks. She is very knowledgable about the area, has many contacts and her responsiveness is top notch. Beth was also able to find us a great house to buy shortly after we sold. I have recommended her to many people and will continue to do so.

Beth was willing to drive very far to show me houses over 60+ miles away. I ended up purchasing with her help, a home 80 miles away from her location. Much appreciated!

Beth helped my husband and I over a few years find a home for our growing family. She treated us like family and always kept us in the loop of what was one of the most exciting and stressful times in our lives. I would highly recommend Beth; from her real estate skills to making you feel like your part of her family.

Beth was a huge help in selling our home. She made sure we understood the process, answered lots of questions, let us know ahead of time when she would be bringing potential buyers, and connected us with other professionals we needed to get the job done. She is also a great person and loves dogs! (At least our dog anyway)
