FAQ
Get pre-approved and work with a knowledgeable local agent. In a fast-moving market, buyers who are financially prepared and guided by a professional have the strongest advantage. Pre-approval shows sellers you’re serious and ready. At the same time, a seasoned local agent (like me!) can help you avoid pitfalls, understand true market value, write strong offers, and negotiate wisely.
1. Price it Right from Day One
Overpricing kills momentum. Homes get the most attention in the first 7–10 days—so you want to enter the market competitively, not “testing the waters.” A well-priced home generates more interest, more offers, and often a better final sale price.
2. First Impressions Matter
Curb appeal isn’t just a cliché—it sets the emotional tone. Tidy up landscaping, repaint the front door, and make the entryway feel welcoming. Inside, aim for clean, bright, and neutral.
3. Declutter, Depersonalize, and Stage
Buyers need to envision themselves in the home—not your family photos or bold decor. A staged, neutral space photographs better and sells faster.
4. Invest Where It Counts
Quick wins like fresh paint, updated lighting, or minor kitchen and bath touch-ups can create major perceived value. Don’t overspend, but strategic upgrades pay off.
5. Market Like a Pro
Professional photography, a strong online presence, and a smart marketing strategy are non-negotiable. Your agent should promote the home across Zillow, MLS, social media, and to their network.
Over the past 30 years, I’ve had the privilege of working with a wide range of clients—including first-time buyers, seasoned homeowners, luxury sellers, out-of-area owners, and real estate investors. Whether guiding a family through their very first home purchase or helping an investor find the right income-producing property, I bring experience, strategy, and personalized service to every transaction.
I recently had the honor of helping my dear neighbors sell their home as they prepared to downsize and move into a senior community. This was a meaningful and emotional transaction, and I’m especially proud of how we navigated the challenges—including a sale contingency and finding just the right buyer who appreciated their home’s value. While they will be deeply missed in our neighborhood, I’m grateful I could help them transition smoothly into this next chapter of their lives.
After graduating from Cal State University with a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, concentrating in Finance and Marketing, I began my career in the mortgage industry. When my company downsized—laying off over 1,000 employees—I was invited to join a branch office in L.A. County. The long commute proved unsustainable, and during an interview at a local mortgage company, I was encouraged to shift into real estate. That moment changed everything. I’ve now spent over 30 years in real estate, and I’ve never looked back. My financial background has been a tremendous asset in guiding clients through complex transactions, and I truly love what I do.
