Once a course of action was identified they worked quickly and effectively to implement it and resolve problems. The team was simply extraordinary in helping sell our house. Whether it was finding resources for needed repairs, recommending how to present the home best, or representing us at meetings, they were always there for us. ZillowVERIFIED We used the mason team to buy our house in eagle river. We chose them originally because Audrey responded to a request to tour a house and warned me away from a bad purchase. She knew all about the houses on the market and advised I pass on a place that looked good on paper, but had a bunch of flaws Her team is responsive, respectful and VERY knowledgeable. We tended to work with Brent, and he went out of his way to make sure our interests were well taken care of. There was no pressure to make use get a purchase done. Brent took a personal interest in helping us find the right place, and to make sure we were well taken care of For example I did t know Much about home buying, and Brent shared his expertise constantly in teaching me what to look for, and how to ensure the purchase was correct for us. I literally could not reccomend the Mason team more. I have friends moving back to Alaska, and I am sending them to the Masons when they arrive. It felt like we made friends by working with them. It took us several months of searching, and Brent happily brought us to probably 30 or more houses, and never once did it feel like we were imposing. We lost majority of our security deposit due to the interior of the garage being dusty, dirt under the fridge, and some wear and tear dirt on the white walls. We lived in the townhome for 3 years, hence the reason why this is considered wear and tear. When Audrey performed our inspection, it was very aEURoeblue gloveaEUR? military-like: scraping finger on top of cabinets, moving the fridge, asking us to sweep leaves in front of the front dooraEUR| it was fall time, of course theres going to be leaves. After arguing that these things were typical aEURoewear and tear,aEUR? Audrey retuned less than half of our security deposit and kept the rest for repairs that should be made anyways when a tenant moves out. I.e: painting walls & railings. They hired a aEURoehandymanaEUR? who we would have to beg to come out to do anything. We would have to ask multiple times before he would come. When he would come, he was rude. Would wear dirty shoes in the home and leave dirt marks in our shower and laminate floor. During our last conversation, Audrey mentioned that she hopes we can buy in the future so that we aEURoedont have to deal with renting anymore.aEUR? Renting is not supposed to be this difficult. And security deposit should not be taken if there is no damage.

They helped provide options and insight from their extensive experience in the area and made it easy to make an informed choice/offer. We went back to the office and generated an offer, expecting some competition for the house and need of negotiation. She gave guidance on how to proceed with each document and what would be the likely best course of action through negotiations. throughout the processing time until closing, the team kept me updated on the status of closing and readily answered any questions or concerns I had. Brent handled much of the communication and relay between the sellers and other institutions with their hands in the pot for closing. For a first time homebuyer it was very nice to be able to rely on them and know I was getting the best help I could. ZillowVERIFIED Audrey Mason was our real estate agent. We first met her in December of 2020 through Zillow. We flew to Alaska to look at a list of houses that we had found online for one weekend. We spent the weekend looking at houses. In full, we looked at 12 houses. We had started to lose faith that we would find the ONE for us in that first visit, but then Audrey took us to a house that only a local, well-informed real estate agent could know about. We instantly fell in love and she had found the place that met all of our requirements. It was a new construction house, which is why we didn't even notice it online. We had never even considered a newly constructed home. Working with the builder was VERY difficult due to non-responsiveness. On top of that, we had issues with our lender as well. Due to these two problems, we sometimes had issues with responsiveness in general (because all of these need to talk to each other in order to get a response!). Audrey was good at getting back to us and we we were able to get in touch with Brent and Nancy Mason when we had troubles with shower doors and other items. Negotiation wasn't something that a lot of effort was put into since it was new construction and is based mostly on the neighborhood and the sales comparables/history/timeline.What I appreciated most about Audrey during the process was her absolute and total knowledge of the area - she always knew not only what company to call, but usually the person to speak to at these companies in order to get things done.What I appreciate STILL and always will about Audrey is that she is a truly caring person and has helped us multiple times since the purchase in ways that only a neighborly person who cares about their home area would.
