It was needed for me as a first time home buyer. I went from almost not signing exclusivity with her to purchasing the home with her, bcoz she did go overboard in the 2-3 month long house search, documentation, loan advise and the whole escrow process comparing to other agents I was working with. She was more transparent, flexible with a genuine interest in helping find the right house and purchase it.
