As our seller agent, she completed a market analysis and recommended a listing price that would maximize our return on investment. She brought value to the sale through the use of high quality marketing materials, such as professional sales brochures, virtual tours, and pictures. She advised us on how to prepare for showings and gave us access to a mobile app to allow us to manage showings, inspections, and appraisals. April exceeded our expectations because, not only did we receive and accept an offer on the first day of showings, but the contract price was $5,000 above our asking price - and this was during uncertain market timing due to the ongoing pandemic. In addition, we closed on the sale only one month after contracting for the sale. We had fully intended to move out of the home and find a rental to move into between our sale and our purchase. This became unnecessary as April negotiated a leaseback arrangement with the buyer. As our buyer agent, she evaluated our family needs and recommended a home that met our needs at a competitive price and in a neighborhood we were interested in. ZillowVERIFIED I was recommended by a family member to Neuhaus Real Estate, and to Justin Slidell specifically. I met with Justin and told him we had to discontinue with our last realtor for the main reason that they would not communicate with us in a timely manner and often left us hanging. He reassured me that he would not do this. From day one after signing not only was it extremely difficult to get a quick response from Justin throughout the entire home selling process, but it was often short or nonexistent. We were selling our first home and the process is extremely stressful in itself, but dealing with Justin the entire month had me so upset at times. I also believe he's a bit sexist, as he would ignore my messages and requests but would answer my husbands more, and would talk over me constantly. One time to be specific I asked for a document that would've been easy to forward over. I asked for this early in the morning and did not get a response. I then asked for it hours later and was told, "Gimme a minute". An hour later with no document I asked if he sent it, and no response. I got my husband involved who he told he was in a meeting and would get it later. Anyway, we're now at the evening hours and I've tried multiple times to get this single document that was important to me and should've been easy to obtain, he then turned off his phone from me and my husband and I had to contact April to retrieve it. April is very nice and helpful, but it was still very difficult to reach her as I called her office many times throughout the day also. And I shouldn't have to speak to anyone except my realtor, in my opinion, since I hired him. There was (not joking) more times than professionally necessary that these instances occurred during the process of selling our home. When I'm losing sleep over the realtor something is wrong. Justin was good with negotiating, I believe, but that's it.
