About a year and a half ago, my partner and I realized that we?d need to begin looking for a new home. Our family was growing; our daughter was turning one, we had another child on the way, and we were looking for a place where we could put down roots after five busy years. We knew the process wouldn?t be easy, particularly as educators navigating a competitive real estate market and without much experience from which to draw. And so we would visit open houses, wander around aimlessly, make a few inquiries, engage in flights of fancy (imagine us drinking tea by that fireplace!), and then return to square one the next weekend ? wondering if our dreams would ever come to pass. Luckily, we had good friends that recently purchased a home and mentioned that we had to speak with Anne. The descriptions were glowing ? she was funny, personable, smart, strategic, experienced, and unfailingly honest. She would answer our questions, put us at ease, and represent us with integrity and care. And so we called, and promptly spent our first conversation talking less about buying a house and more about the challenges and joys of parenting. When we started talking about our dream home, she helped answer all of our questions, always returning the conversation back to what felt right for us. She also spent weekend after weekend visiting open houses with us, following up with helpful information about neighborhoods, floor plans, contingencies, upsides, downsides, and everything in between. Best of all, she always had gifts for our daughter Noa, who patiently (most of the time) came along! Eventually, Anne helped us find our dream home, a space that was just perfect for us. She helped us navigate the entire purchase process, put us in touch with her resources and contacts, advocated for us, and shepherded us through an offer that was accepted, despite coming in lower than some of the others! We are so grateful for Anne and hope everyone who is looking for their dream home gets the benefit of collaborating with her. We could not have dont this without her support, friendship, expertise, and thoughtfulness. To this day, she still stops by with treats for the kids (and the parents), and makes brilliant suggestions about home improvement projects, furnishing, and more!! She has our most unreserved and enthusiastic recommendation! And yes, we are now drinking tea by the fireplace, with two little kiddos running the show!
