My parents, Spence and Anne Hiatt, ran a successful brokerage in Sonoma County, so I grew up listening to negotiations over dinner and tagging along to open houses before I could even drive. I officially got started in the business 23 years ago. After working in other industries, I realized real estate was where I truly belonged. Yes—education and constant growth are really important to me, both personally and professionally. I earned my bachelor’s degree in Communication from San Francisco State University, which has been incredibly helpful in navigating negotiations, marketing homes effectively, and—most importantly—communicating clearly with clients. In terms of real estate-specific training, I hold both the GRI (Graduate, REALTOR® Institute) and CDPE (Certified Distressed Property Expert) designations. These certifications give me deeper insight into complex transactions and market conditions—especially helpful for clients buying or selling in today’s competitive landscape. I’ve also been coached by Tom Ferry for over 10 years.
