Be prepared to prioritize your “must-haves” over “nice-to-haves,” and lean on a knowledgeable real estate professional to help you navigate the market, negotiate strongly, and avoid costly mistakes. A little preparation upfront can make the process smoother and give you the best chance of landing the home you love.

First impressions matter, so take the time to declutter, freshen up, and highlight your home’s best features—whether that’s curb appeal, staging, or a simple deep clean. At the same time, price your home strategically with the guidance of a knowledgeable agent; an overpriced home can sit on the market, while the right price can attract multiple offers and maximize your return. Finally, stay flexible and open during showings and negotiations—buyers often move fast, and being ready can make all the difference in getting to the closing table smoothly
