Q: 1. What advice would you give a buyer trying to purchase a home?

Talk to a lender to really understand your budget before falling in love with a house first! Get pre approved so you are ready to pounce when the right fit comes along. Pick the right location for you - you can always change a house, but you can't change its location!

Q: 2. What advice would you give a seller trying to sell their home?

Buyers are looking for move in ready homes. Have a professional realtor over months before you are ready to sell to help you understand what repairs/updates/staging needs to be done in order to help you sell your house fast and for top dollar!

I have worked with all types of buyers and sellers. Young and old. First time home buyers and empty nesters. Luxury home sellers and buyers alike. Anyone looking to buy or sell in Orinda, Lafayette or Moraga, CA.

Q: 4. Describe a recent transaction you are fond of. How did it go?

I have too many to count. Truly! I love educating new buyers to the neighborhood and helping friends and neighbors sell when they are ready to move on. The excitement of helping first time home buyers never gets old!

Q: 5. How did you get started in Real Estate?

Well, we had just moved back to Orinda from NY and bought our first house at the hight of the 2007 market, overextended, and then the housing and financial markets crashed and I was on bedrest with baby #3. Yikes! I got my real estate license while on bedrest and turns out that financial fire under my feet launched a now 17 year career that I absolutely love! Had that not happened, my goals were to be the Orinda Country Club golf club champion and volunteer in all my kids schools as much as possible, lol. I was able to volunteer a lot even while working, but my golf game has not improved. That's ok. I wouldn't trade it!

Q: 6. Do you have any special education or training that will benefit your clients?

I worked in private wealth management for 8 years before I had my kids. This sales and finance background has helped shape how I price homes, structures offers, and negotiate for clients in a high-value market.

Amy was beyond amazing for us. Incredibly knowledgable of the area, honest and very responsive to our calls and emails. We did not live in the area when we made an offer on a home. When it was accepted, she made sure all the inspections happened and sent us the results of each ASAP. Since we weren't from the area and had no point of reference, Amy was amazing to send us referrals for home insurance, painters, even swim lessons for our kids. Cannot say enough great things about our experience with her and would recommend her as a selling or buying agent in a heartbeat.
