ZillowVERIFIED Working with Amanda Davenport (and her partner, Genevieve Schettino) was too good to be true, and the experience my wife and I had with them ought to be a case study for real estate brokers and agents who want to build a successful business full of happy clients. In my experience, and I say this as a professional recruiter who also makes a commission-based living, working with a real estate professional is often a leap of faith and a process wrought with impersonal and phony tactics, driven by the agent or broker's desire to make a fee. Amanda and Gen, however, traffic in and have built a business on forming real, strong, and genuine relationships with their clients. They couple that foundation with expertise and knowledge about the local markets (Darien most especially, but extending throughout Fairfield County) that is unmatched in the local community, superior marketing and negotiation skills, an unrelenting work ethic, and a profound commitment to their clients. Indeed, they are the total package and the proof is in the pudding. In 2021, we received a brilliant, proactive marketing piece from Amanda and Gen in the mail that humbly demonstrated they were THE go-to listing brokers in our neighborhood and invited a conversation with them, no strings attached. We had that conversation, in person, at our dinning room table and that was the start of a now 4-year old relationship. Between then and now, we had two false-starts on listing our home (interrupted by our nerves and then a pregnancy), we put offers in on a few houses (won one and had to walk away), finally did list our home and it sold in 24 hours for an offer beyond our wildest imagination (ALL-CASH, way above ask, with a multiple month lease-back, etc.), and bought our forever, dream home at an excellent value. Amanda and Gen were always there for us and still are -- we closed on our sale and purchase over a year ago and are still in touch with them regularly. They are the best of the best, in every way.
