FAQ
Get Pre-Approved Early:
1. Before we start touring homes, get pre-approved for a mortgage. This shows sellers you’re serious and gives us a clear idea of your price range.
2. Know Your Must-Haves vs. Nice-to-Haves
Make a list of your non-negotiables (like number of bedrooms, location, yard space) and things that are flexible. This helps us focus our search and avoid overwhelm.
3. Stick to Your Budget
It’s tempting to stretch your budget when you fall in love with a home, but remember—just because you can afford it doesn’t mean you should. Let’s find a home that fits both your needs and your comfort zone.
4. Don’t Skip the Inspection
Even if the home looks perfect, an inspection can uncover hidden issues. It’s your safety net and can give you negotiating power.
5. Be Ready to Act Quickly
Homes in the Portland metro area can move fast. If you love a home, be prepared to make an offer—I'll help guide you on how to make it competitive without overpaying.
6. Think Long-Term
Try to envision yourself living in the home 5–10 years from now. Will it still work if your family grows or your commute changes?
7. Lean on Me for Guidance
There are a lot of moving parts—offers, negotiations, inspections, closing timelines. I’ll be here every step of the way to protect your interests and make the process smooth.
1. Price It Right from the Start
Overpricing can backfire by causing your home to sit on the market too long. I’ll run a full market analysis to help you price it competitively and attract serious buyers from day one.
2. First Impressions Matter
Curb appeal counts. Clean up the yard, freshen up the entry, and make sure your home is welcoming from the moment buyers pull up.
3. Declutter and Stage
Less is more. Clear out personal items and unnecessary furniture so buyers can imagine themselves living there. I’ll guide you on staging that highlights your home’s best features.
4. Be Flexible with Showings
The more accessible your home is for showings, the more potential buyers we can get through the door—especially during that crucial first week on the market.
5. Fix Small Repairs Ahead of Time
Leaky faucets, chipped paint, squeaky doors—they may seem minor, but they can raise red flags. A well-maintained home builds buyer confidence.
6. Understand the Local Market
Every neighborhood is different. I’ll walk you through local trends, what buyers are currently looking for, and how your home compares.
7. Stay Emotionally Neutral
Selling your home can feel personal, but try to view it as a business transaction. My job is to help you negotiate the best terms and keep emotions from getting in the way.
8. Trust the Process (and Your Agent)
There are a lot of steps between listing and closing. I’ll keep you informed, guide you through negotiations, and ensure you understand every part of the process.
I have worked with a variety of clients, and that is what is so beautiful about my career.
One recent transaction that really stuck with me was helping a young couple buy their very first home here in Beaverton. They were newly married, had just moved back to Oregon to be closer to family, and were nervous but excited to get into the market.
We started with a thorough buyer consultation where I helped them understand the steps, their budget, and what to expect. We looked at several homes, and after a few disappointments with multiple-offer situations, we finally found the one—a cozy, updated ranch-style home with a beautiful backyard that reminded them of their childhood homes.
The sellers were motivated but had multiple offers. I worked closely with the buyers’ lender, positioned our offer strategically with strong terms and a heartfelt letter, and we were thrilled when it was accepted!
There were a few bumps during inspection (a minor roof issue and HVAC servicing), but we negotiated fair credits and kept things moving smoothly. The best part? At closing, they handed me a thank-you card with a photo of them holding their keys and smiling from ear to ear. It was such a full-circle moment.
Helping people find a place to call home, especially first-time buyers, is why I love what I do. Every transaction is personal to me—and I’m always grateful to be part of such a special chapter in someone’s life.
I grew up my whole life in the real estate world, it was inevitable for me to get into the same filed once I finished college. I love what I do!
I have my Bachelors Degree from Portland State University in Business Management and Leadership.
