Allison did a phenomenal job managing the simultaneous sale of my previous home and the purchase of my new home. Her eye for detail was invaluable; she suggested key repairsaEUR"including wallpaper removal, fresh paint, floor refinishing, and electrical updatesaEUR"that truly facilitated a smooth sale. Following her advice to professionally stage the home made a noticeable difference. However, her greatest impact was her financial creativity. To manage a two-week overlap between my closing dates, Allison worked with a mortgage broker to coordinate a short-term IRA withdrawal for my deposit. This allowed me to secure a competitive rate and repay the funds immediately upon my sale with no tax consequences. I wouldn't have secured my new home without her resourceful thinking.

Allison did a phenomenal job listing and selling our home. From the staging, to the pictures, the Open Houses and follow-up, she was exceptional. Allison and her partner are especially gifted at dealing with challenges, like when the home did not appraise... she knew what to do and we still did very well. You will not regret picking Allison as your agent... she is a GO GETTER and GETS IT DONE! She also knows the Mystic, Stonington, Westerly area extremely well.

Allison is wonderful in so many ways. She sold my mother and I a condo when we were looking for a place for my sister with physical and intellectual disabilities to live. It was the perfect place for her. She then sold that condo for us and negotiated a great price. She helped me find cleaners and movers and even provided boxes. She always returns emails, calls, and texts; she's energetic and supportive. I recently purchased a home that needed a lot of work and she negotiated a new electrical system, mostly paid for by the seller, on my behalf. She will be with you through the whole process and she does her homework. I totally lucked out by randomly picking her to be my realtor, but I will never go to another one now. She is, literally, the best.

Allison is a go-getter who really wanted to get to know us and what properties would suit us. She is hugely personable and was on top of everything; she recommended strategies for both our buying and selling, and she stays informed about national and local real estate trends. She was always prompt about getting back to us, and she was very patient while we debated when to sell. Would absolutely work with her againaEUR"except she found us our forever home!

We recommend Allison Hughes. Shes not perfect, but is better than most realtors, so its likely that shell be better than most people youd choose. When we sell our home, well likely contact her again. Ms. Hughes was pragmatic and practical, enabling us to purchase our $549K residence for $503K in a market that was actually headed upward. She was patient with us and thoughtful with a seller that, it could be argued, hadnt been able to sell its property because the seller had made some foolish moves. As I wrote at the beginning, Janet and I both recommend Allison Hughes if you are realistic about buying a home.
