ZillowVERIFIED Alexis Davis was our agent helping us find a house in Washington, NC. This was to be our second house and we spent almost a year searching for the right fit. However, as we searched, my wife and I kept changing our thoughts about the house we would want. To make it even more challenging to Alexis, we were also trying to sell a home in Alabama and our buying power kept shifting with the selling potential, or lack of it, as that process unfolded. Alexis not only was able to shift courses with us, she was able to understand those common elements we kept telling her we liked even though we kept finding them, or thinking we would find them in the myriad of houses we looked at. In other words, Alexis came to know us and our desires at times better than we knew them and would gently keep us on track. We came to appreciate Alexis's intuition and at the end of the journey we trusted her with what could be the last house we ever buy. Along the way, Alexis was gentle, funny, understanding and in the end, a friend, and also the professional that had our interests in mind. We also came to know that she had the owners' interest of the houses we saw also in mind and if it wasn't going to be a good fit for us, there was no need to raise the hope of the owner for us to see it just to check the box. This also made us appreciate Alexis more; in a real estate world of today that may have forgotten that personal consideration, we valued Alexis's approach to consider the person and the house very refreshing. In the end, in a heartbeat, we would want Alexis to represent us if there ever is another house in that area in our future.

We were coming from South Carolina and transitioning and she made everything easy. She showed us the houses we liked and found houses we didn't even know about. She never seemed bothered when we asked to see another house and was always available. Our budget was tight and she new exactly what we could and couldn't do and didn't push us past our comfort zone. She jumped right in and created a fresh marketing plan that presented the houses assets in an attractive manner. It was advertised we'll both locally and on the Internet to catch potential buyers attention with lots of photos. I could not know at that time how important her skills, knowledge and attitudes would be in closing this deal. This was a very difficult process because I made the mistake of mortgaging through one of the "too big to lend" national banks. Alexis navigated every shoal without allowing even a ding in the dinghy. When other realtors suggested I bid higher, she knew the market well enough to optimize the bid. She is knowledgeable, reasonable, easy to deal with and generous with her time. I suppose I have worked with more than ten realtors over the course of my house buying and selling history.
