FAQ
1. What advice would you give a buyer trying to purchase a home?
The most important advice I give buyers looking to purchase a home in Auburn, CA and the Sierra Foothills is to be fully prepared, work with a knowledgeable local real estate expert, and focus on long-term lifestyle fit—not just the property itself. Start by getting pre-approved with a trusted lender so you understand your true buying power and can act quickly when the right home comes on the market. The Foothills market, including Auburn, Meadow Vista, Loomis, and Newcastle, offers unique properties such as acreage homes, luxury estates, and rural properties that often require careful evaluation of factors like insurance availability, septic systems, wells, and access. Working with an experienced local real estate agent ensures you understand these details and helps you identify opportunities before other buyers. Most importantly, choose a home that aligns with both your financial goals and the Foothills lifestyle you want to live. With the right preparation and expert guidance, buying a home in Placer County can be a smooth, successful, and deeply rewarding experience.
2. What advice would you give a seller trying to sell their home?
The most important advice I give sellers in Auburn, CA and the Sierra Foothills is to prepare your home strategically, price it correctly from the start, and work with a local real estate expert who understands the unique Foothills market. Buyers searching for homes in Auburn, Meadow Vista, Loomis, Newcastle, and Foresthill are not just buying a house—they are buying a lifestyle—so presentation, professional photography, and strong marketing are critical to attracting qualified buyers and maximizing your home’s value. Proper pricing based on current Placer County real estate trends ensures your home generates immediate interest, stronger offers, and better negotiating leverage.
Equally important is working with an experienced listing agent who knows how to position your property, highlight its unique features such as acreage, views, privacy, or proximity to trails and downtown Auburn, and guide you through inspections, disclosures, and negotiations. My role is to ensure your home stands out in the market, reaches the right buyers, and sells for the strongest possible price and terms. With the right preparation, pricing strategy, and expert representation, selling your home in the Sierra Foothills can be a smooth, efficient, and highly successful experience.
3. What types of clients have you worked with?
I have worked with a wide range of clients buying and selling homes in Auburn, CA and throughout the Sierra Foothills, including first-time home buyers, luxury home buyers, sellers, relocation clients, and homeowners transitioning to their next phase of life. Many of my clients are moving to Auburn, Meadow Vista, Loomis, Newcastle, and other Placer County communities specifically for the Foothills lifestyle—seeking privacy, acreage properties, custom homes, and access to trails, rivers, and open space. I also work with move-up buyers, downsizing sellers, and clients selling long-time family properties who want to maximize their home’s value with expert preparation and marketing.
In addition, I frequently assist relocation buyers from the Bay Area and Sacramento who are looking for homes for sale in Auburn, CA and the surrounding Foothill communities. These clients rely on my deep local knowledge to help them understand neighborhood differences, property types, insurance considerations, and market trends. My experience spans residential real estate, luxury properties, rural and acreage homes, and lifestyle-driven properties unique to the Sierra Foothills. Regardless of the price point or situation, my focus is always on providing personalized guidance, strong negotiation, and a smooth, successful real estate experience for every client I represent.
4. Describe a recent transaction you are fond of. How did it go?
One recent transaction that meant a great deal to me was helping a wonderful family relocate to Auburn, CA to find their forever home in the Sierra Foothills. They had been dreaming about leaving the city for years and were drawn to Auburn for its natural beauty, sense of community, and the lifestyle that makes this area so special. They wanted acreage, privacy, and a home where they could slow down, spend more time outdoors, and truly put down roots.
I spent time getting to know them—not just what they needed in a home, but how they wanted to live. We walked properties together, talked about the nuances of different areas of Auburn, Meadow Vista, and Newcastle, and carefully evaluated each opportunity. When the right home came on the market, we moved quickly and strategically. I guided them through every step, from crafting a strong offer to navigating inspections and ensuring they felt confident and supported throughout the process.
The moment I handed them the keys was incredibly meaningful. Seeing their excitement and knowing I had helped them make such an important life transition reminded me why I love being a real estate agent in Auburn and the Sierra Foothills. It wasn’t just about helping them buy a home—it was about helping them find their place in this community that I love so much.
5. How did you get started in Real Estate?
I got started in real estate through my own deeply personal journey of finding a home here in Auburn, CA and the Sierra Foothills. Like many of my clients, I was searching for more than just a house—I was searching for a place that offered lifestyle, connection, and a true sense of home. Going through that process opened my eyes to how important it is to have a knowledgeable, dedicated real estate professional guiding you, especially in a unique market like Auburn and Placer County where every property and community has its own character.
Having lived in the Foothills for more than 30 years, I already had a deep appreciation for the area and a strong connection to the community. That experience, combined with my passion for helping people and my understanding of the local Auburn, Meadow Vista, Loomis, and Newcastle real estate market, naturally led me to pursue a career as a real estate agent. I wanted to help others navigate the home buying and selling process with confidence and clarity.
Since becoming a real estate professional, I’ve had the privilege of helping buyers find homes for sale in Auburn, CA and assisting sellers in successfully marketing and selling their Foothills properties. What began as a personal journey quickly became a true calling. Today, I am proud to help clients achieve their real estate goals while sharing my local expertise, strong negotiation skills, and genuine commitment to the people and communities I serve.
6. Do you have any special education or training that will benefit your clients?
Yes. I am proud to be a member of the Placer County Association of Realtors (PCAR) Masters Club, which recognizes top-performing real estate professionals for their experience, production, and commitment to excellence in serving clients throughout Auburn, CA and Placer County. This achievement reflects my dedication to delivering exceptional results for both home buyers and home sellers in the competitive Sierra Foothills real estate market.
I have also earned my Seniors Real Estate Specialist® (SRES®) certification, which provides specialized training to help senior clients and their families navigate important transitions such as downsizing, relocating, or selling long-time family homes. This designation allows me to offer knowledgeable, compassionate guidance while understanding the financial, emotional, and logistical considerations unique to these transactions.
In addition to these credentials, my ongoing education and daily experience working in the Auburn, Meadow Vista, Loomis, Newcastle, and greater Sierra Foothills real estate market allows me to provide clients with valuable insight into local market trends, property values, negotiation strategies, and the unique factors involved in buying and selling foothill properties. My goal is to ensure every client benefits from professional expertise, strong representation, and a smooth, successful real estate experience.

Alex is masterful on so many levels! I had lived in Auburn for over a quarter century and had never sold a home before. But I'm one of those aEURoetype AaEUR? personality types who thinks hes a aEURoeknow it all,aEUR? and thus when I started the selling process the first things I learned that Alex was masterful in was in patience. I had all sorts of ideas as to which rooms to replace carpeting, paint, etc., and Alex with her vast experience gently explained the pros and cons of the extent of prepping the house for sale, and then let it be. She waited for me to quickly realize my cockamamie ideas of how to prep the house really should be left to experts like her, and so it ended up seeming it was my idea where she was steering me toward the right moves all along! The second area I learned that Alex was masterful in was in fostering relationships, and not just with buyers and sellers but also contractors, loan officers and all the other people involved with the process. Once I came about and realized some substantial renovation was in order, Alex kicked into gear and started setting us up with some amazing contractors. I include this in her relationship skills because I could tell that many of these contractors had such high regard for her that they bent over backwards to maintain that relationship by getting her clients the best work for the money. For example, the painter had bid such a reasonable price that I questioned whether they would do a thorough job. They ended up exceeding our expectations by going the extra mile and relieving us from some of the work my wife and I anticipated we would have to do with chips and cracks in the walls and making the floorboards look like new. Perhaps the most significant thing to me that I learned that Alex was masterful in was going the extra mile for her clients. And in more ways than one! I cant imagine that there are many agents out there like Alex that in scoping out the extent of the contractors painting job, not only takes into consideration our budgetary discussions, but also spends hours working with us in painting/repairing the bathrooms excluded from the bid and other parts of the house (especially since we had nominal aEURoehandymanaEUR? skills ourselves). And her going the extra mile also extended in unexpected ways, as when we were replacing shrubbery at the front of the house, and instead of us paying for the disposal of the old shrubs she went online and found a nature lover who came and picked them all up for free to find them a new home! As you are probably figuring out I can go on and on about Alex, but Ill end with the last thing I learned that Alex was masterful in, which is driving the deal home! We were selling in early October, which is not the most optimal time and would become less optimal if the process dragged into the holiday season. We had some significant interest right off the bat, but it seemed that it would not yield an offer in our price range, and so we were preparing for a longer process. But again, Alexs relationship skills came into play and she kept lines of communication open with one of the interested parties agents. I dont know how she did it, but she assuaged their concerns over juggling the home price with their remodeling needs and got us an offer within our range in only 9 days after the house went on the market! And when a hiccup occurred during the negotiation phase she solved that too! I cant recommend Alex highly enough!

We had a wonderful experience working with Alexandra for the sale of our high end home in Auburn. She coordinated an experienced team of stagers and photographers, marketed heavily in all the right places, then negotiated like a champ to get us top dollar. Selling a home can be stressful and her can do attitude throughout the whole process was such a comfort.
