We highly recommend Alana Mey. We first met her in 2017 when purchasing a home in WA coming from Colorado. She tirelessly showed us many homes, as we had very specific requirements and a limited budget. I cannot recommend Alana Mey highly enough! As an out-of-state buyer purchasing my retirement home in Bellingham, Alana went above and beyond at every step of this complex transaction. Alana spent 6-7 hours on our first Saturday driving me through multiple neighborhoods within 35 minutes of Bellingham, showing me various properties and helping me understand the local market. Her deep knowledge of the area was invaluable - she had already shown me the desirable Edgemoor district, so when I found an amazing property there the next morning with spectacular unobstructed views of Chuckanut Bay, I knew it was special. Alana's responsiveness was exceptional. When I texted her Sunday morning about the Edgemoor property, she immediately arranged to meet me that same evening for a showing. Her negotiation skills were outstanding - she recommended strategic contingencies including a 14-day feasibility period for my architect (I planned to do significant improvements to the existing 65-year old house) and an inspection contingency. She negotiated a contract with a purchase price below asking and all my contingencies intact. After I returned to California to my demanding job, Alana handled everything. She coordinated with my geologist for a site assessment, found an excellent property inspector, and when the inspection revealed a blocked sewer line, she masterfully negotiated for the sellers to cover all repairs. Alana has an impressive network of high-quality professionals and contractors - whenever I needed a local contact, she provided excellent referrals to trusted companies who delivered outstanding results. The sewer repair alone involved multiple specialists, and Alana ensured I received video documentation of the completed work. Alana also connected me with an insurance consultant when my California insurer couldn't cover out-of-state property, and even arranged contact with the sellers' landscaping service. Her extensive professional network, attention to detail, and genuine care for my interests made this transaction seamless despite the complexity. Alana's combination of market expertise, negotiation skills, responsiveness, and personal touch made buying my dream retirement property a wonderful experience. She truly represents her clients' best interests and has the connections to make things happen!
