It was a tough market for buyers (and we were extremely picky) so it was just north of 2 years until we found a house we liked. Adam and Jonny were by our sides the whole way through. Anytime a new house was listed and we wanted to go see it, either one of them would be available that same day. ZillowVERIFIED We ended up finding Adam from accidentally saying we wanted more info on a property. It turns out it was a great accident to happen. We were moving from out-of-state and were most likely going to be buying a house sight unseen. We met with him once when visiting the area to give him idea of what we were looking for. He gave us great advice on what we could do while we were out of Minnesota. We scanned MLS basically all day, every day and he would respond and visit properties sometimes within the hour if he was able. When we sent him to the home we now own he told us immediately that this was the home for us and we needed to get an offer in as soon as we could. It was only the second offer we put in and we were lucky enough to get it accepted. Throughout the process we knew we will most likely be relocating again within 4 years and wanted not only a good home for us to live in but a place with potential to sell in the future. He constantly gave us great advice on what to look for with this in mind. We are beyond excited for our home and would work with Adam again in a heartbeat.

ZillowVERIFIED Adam helped us find the "perfect" home for a year (because we are insanely picky) and then promptly helped us sell that home when work opportunities led us out of the area. Adam knows houses (examples: how much slope a floor should have given the home's age, approximate cost of nearly any improvement you'd like to make, etc.). Every time I entered a home with him, I knew I was there with an expert. He provides great insight and advice. His market pricing is extremely useful. He is very knowledgeable on negotiations, and gives good advice for both buying and selling. He is extremely patient and not at all pushy. We're currently in the middle of the home buying process in our new location and wish we could have flown Adam in to help us. Only downside is that he doesn't proactively flag possible homes to see (but he will set you up with a useful ap), so know going in that that's your job. In all other aspects, he's great!

ZillowVERIFIED Adam Duckwall isn't your ordinary realtor. He really knows his houses and the housing market. Within the first few minutes of having Adam look around my house he was able to pinpoint (within two years) my house's age based on the construction of the fireplace! I was impressed. He is also the only realtor I've ever worked with who uses a device to determine exact square footage. Again, the fact that he took the time to measure the square footage was impressive. Overall, Adam has integrity. In the end he knew I was likely to work with another agent to list my house, and yet despite knowing this he spent nearly three hours of his time with me, trying to determine my house's value, and giving me tips for selling my house. I would absolutely and unequivocally recommend Adam to anyone who is serious about working with a top-notch realtor. He is a credit to his profession.

ZillowVERIFIED I had a showing scheduled to view a short sale home in St. Paul, and Adam was late. After waiting about 10 minutes I called his office only to find out he'd forgotten about the appointment. Finally about 45 minutes later he showed up, but he looked very disheveled as if he'd just woken up. As we walked through the house he essentially kept telling me making an offer on the house was a waste of time because there were already a couple offers in, but since this was a short sale I should've been able to offer up until the bank accepted one of them. I got the impression he had no desire to sell me that, or any house. Happily I found a different realtor who was more than happy to show me any house I wanted and offer whatever I wanted on any house.

I had contacted Adam previously with a question about a specific house and found him very helpful and informative, so I reached out to him, and after a meeting with him, my husband and I knew he was the agent for us. Then continuously sent information on properties substantially over the budget I had laid out for a purchase price...so essentially useless information. When I did find properties of interest, I never received a response. About the only time I received a quick response was when I told him to take me off his mailing list, in which the response was completely unprofessional. He was immediately on the defensive & my experience was anybody's & everybody's fault except his own. By this time I knew I was dealing with a guy that didn't have it together anyway, so surprised i was not. If you are looking for someone to represent you as a buyer, move on.

ZillowVERIFIED My husband and I met Adam at an open house nearly 7 years ago. We'd been to many open houses over the years just to look, and that time was no different. We'd become pretty adept at sidestepping the agents but Adam was different - He was transparent from the start, no lines, no gimmicks, just honest house talk. We were struck not only by his knowledge but his obvious passion. We stayed and chatted for an hour, which was uprecedented for us and as we were walking down the front stairs my husband and I remarked about how different that conversation was than any we'd had with even with our previous agents. A few months later we found ourselves more seriously looking to buy and called Adam to look at some properties. The rest is history. We recently purchased our second home with him and sold the first one we bought with him 6 years ago. There have been many late night phone calls and last minute showings over the years and we have appreciated Adam's eagerness to do it all while still making us feel important.
