Reach out to a trusted advisor as soon as you can. You will save yourself a LOT of frustration by identifying someone you trust to guide you through the home buying process. From trusted lenders and other vendors (inspectors, contractors, attorneys, etc) to personal advice and someone with an eye on things you may not recognize/notice on your own, it's important to have someone with EXPERIENCE on your side!

Put in the effort to make the best first impression on EVERY potential buyer, before you list. Clean, tidy, organized, well cared for homes sell for top dollar (even if not LISTED at top dollar). Consider an in-person property visit as a 2nd showing, b/c buyers have already seen your home, online, multiple times before ever setting foot in your home. Make sure your house looks amazing in photos!

I have worked with ALL types of clients. First time buyers, investors, move up buyers who are also sellers, multiple time sellers, relocation sellers and buyers, Active Military on PCS orders. I have worked just about every type of transaction with every type of client possible.

I'm always especially fond of working through situations that could have been super stressful, but through patience, understanding and working together, both sides were able to accomplish their goals. I was recently representing a seller of a home that we got under contract pretty quickly after listing, but due to circumstances beyond buyer or seller's control, we had some delays. The buyer even had a baby the day before we were finally about to close. Continued communication between all parties as well as some patience in the face of adversity got us to the closing table and everyone left happy. The ones with "bumps in the road" that we all work through together, tend to be some of my favorite situations.

I was laid off from a corporate job during a time when the economy was not flourishing. A friend owned a small local brokerage and needed some help. Through being in that office, interacting with agents and learning the "back side" of real estate, I developed a desire to actually put that knowledge to work helping clients. I didn't really have any other options at the time, so I jumped in with both feet and never looked back.

I've spent tons of hours in classes to help hone skills to help serve my clients better. I have achieved a Certified Distressed Property Expert designation, along with Investor Agent Specialist, Real Estate Negotiation Expert to name a few. I also rely on my experience from having closed hundreds of transactions to make sure no stone is unturned when working through real estate transactions.
