Timing the market is impossible. If the interest rates drop due to the upcoming election over the summer -- more Buyers may decide to purchase -- the same ones that have held off due to higher rates. A new president and administration could create hesitation for may home Buyers and Sellers. Do your research and make a decision based on what is best for your family at the time.

It is a best practice to research the timing as follows:
1) Personal Timing - Is it best for you to sell at a certain time due to job changes or other personal timing? Is it more convenient for you to move during a certain season, like when the weather is ideal?
2) Check with a local professional about what drives the sales season: schools being out for the summer, Average Days On Market in differenet seasons, Average number of offers in certain seasons, and also ask your local expert if the job market or other Local factors are impacting sales.
