Start with a mortgage pre-approval! That's the most important step. Find a Realtor you trust - as this is likely to be one of the biggest decisions of your life - and finding someone you are comfortable with - with sufficient local expertise is very important! Seek out Realtors with their CRS (Certified Residential Specialist) designation, which is the equivalent of a Master's degree in real estate. This is the most prominent designation a Realtor can earn - and in order to earn it, they must have completed lots of coursework as well as having a proven sales record! Very few agents achieve this designation - and it's absolutely indicative of their commitment to the industry - and their clients' success!

Contact a Realtor early. We love to view homes in advance of listing - to determine what items could/should improve appeal and result in a quicker sale at higher dollar. In my tenure, I've worked with all varieties of sellers and buyers - from first-time buyers & first-time sellers, to move-up (& move-down) sellers & buyers, as well as clients who wish to invest in real estate w/ multi-family &/or 'flip' or rental properties!

Today's real estate transactions can be tricky! I pride myself in expert knowledge, negotiations & transaction management process, to make things as smooth as possible for our clients. I have, on several occasions, located properties which weren't even on the market - for buyers who weren't finding the 'right' home - resulting in happy clients from start to finish!

I am second generation in the industry, following my father's 30+ year career in the industry. I started administratively, and then as a Buyer Specialist then moved into working with both Sellers and Buyers.
