t is with some degree of regret that I do not recommend using Sandy Gaskins (Broker & owner of Palmetto Realty) as your realtor. I used her to sell my home in Hartsville, SC with a few normal requests and expectations one has of realtors. One was to have an open house to have other realtors become familiar with the property. She did so, but for only one hour on a Tuesday morning following a Monday holiday, when most realtors have office meetings. She did not even take that hour to learn things about my home. I also asked her to create a flyer for prospective buyers with specs about the house. After a month of asking, she put a very unprofessional printed out MLS listing with the personal information still visible through her supposedly aEUR~blacked out information. It should be noted that the entire 4 months she had the listing, not once did she show the house herself. MLS and other proactive buyers agents are who sold the house. A major frustration was how uncommunicative she was. She usually only communicated by text, and on the rare occasion she called me, she was often rude and appeared to be more favoring any potential buyer over doing her due diligence as my listing agent. I also found it necessary to frequently reach out to the potential buyers realtor to know what was going on or communicate information about my home and they were always more forthcoming and informative than my own realtor was. When I finally closed on the house she never offered any communication about the closing, no thanks for the business, no communication that the closing was completed, etc. If you are looking for a realtor who will work hard for your business, learn everything they can about the house they are selling, and deliver the kind of communication where you want to refer the realtor to other perspective sellers/buyers, this would NOT be who you should hire! Oh and on the closing day - did not hear a single thing from her about any portion of the closing. Soo disappointed in my decision!
