Jon Steel is a top-notch, grade A, cream of the crop (and all other superlatives) real estate agent. My wife and I met Jon at an open house in the fall of 2024 and knew pretty quickly that he was the agent we would engage. He came off as very intelligent and knowledgeable of the industry, but he had the valuable talent of being able to explain things and educate us without coming across as patronizing or haughty. And that is really what makes Jon so special: his desire is not to sell you on his services, but rather, he focuses on educating his clients (with an emphasis on first-time home buyers, which we were) and giving them the power to make decisions with the knowledge he passes along. He is not pushy, nor did he ever seem perturbed by a decision we made. When it came time to begin looking for homes, it took us around 6 weeks and 3 bids until we were able to get a place under contract. During the process, Jon was always willing to make any appointment no matter the distance, and my wife and I loved hearing his opinion on all the homes. That was probably my favorite thing about Jon aEUR" his opinions were usually highly insightful and useful, but he did not offer them up willy nilly and really made sure that my wife and I formed our own opinions as well (without relying on him for everything). During the offering process, Jon leveraged his extensive experience with the post-pandemic real estate market to really make us competitive and come up with crafty methods to get an extra leg up on the competition. Although it took a few tries (which was valuable in helping my wife and I frame our budget and must haves), Jon was there by our side throughout the process and never once made us feel a certain way for missing on a house. Jon is an agent for life and has made that clear to us.
