This review is long overdue as I never write reviews. But, it has been weighing on my conscience to do so considering I have been in my cabin for almost 2 years now and appreciate Mike & Carole's assistance in making it all happen. I feel that another review on here nailed it when they described the Orists' as being personable, knowledgeable, and thorough throughout the entire buying process from start to finish. Mike & Carole really work well as a team and each one brings their own unique skill-set to the table. While shopping, I placed some full asking price offers on some homes, only to have some cash buyer come in and pull the rug right out from underneath me, which was very discouraging. Mike had indicated that many times, the one that falls through is often a blessing in disguise because there is always another deal out there which quite often turns out to be better than the old one. He was right! I took advantage of a 4th of July weekend sale of cabin in Indian Mountain that had just been listed. Since all the cash buyers were all on 4th of July vacation, we were able to lock in the deal before potential buyers got back with their above asking price cash offers. Since the seller was a bit wary of my offer before even seeing the place, Mike and Carole had an outside-the-box idea and met me at the cabin, which was a spontaneous decision. Mike recorded a video right there of myself expressing how much I loved the place and wished to proceed forward with the purchase asap. That pretty much nailed it once the seller watched the passionate video! I was then able to purchase my 1st log cabin in the mountains and have been happier than a pig in %#&@ ever since! The Orists' have a real good pulse as to what the bargains are in a vast area of Colorado. And, they will also be honest and let you know if there are any concerns with something as well. They truly want you to be happy with your purchase for the short and long term. Plus, Mike has impeccable communication/negotiation skills which can save you a ton of $ in the long run. I also want to add that Mike was able to have the seller leave most of the furniture, etc... However, when the fire-pit was 'off the table', Mike went ahead and gave me his own personal one! That is an example of the type of friendly, professional service you can expect from the Orist Team! Thanks again Mike & Carole for all your assistance!

We started our search for a 2nd home on Zillow and within minutes of selecting several properties in the Woodland Park/Green Mountain Falls area we received a call from Carol Orist. Carol's low pressure, but very knowledgeable and professional approach to our search was much appreciated, and as a team Mike & Carol put us at ease during our first visit to numerous properties in the area. A week later we found a property on-line that seemed right for us, but we could not get to Colorado for a visit because of work issues. Carol & Mike conducted a video tour for us and also a detailed walk through that was thorough enough for us to write a contract without a personal visit to the house. Mike navigated us through the negotiations, including finding a lender and inspector, and insurance agent to cleanly close on the property in less than 30 days! This was a wonderful way for us to end 2017. We are very happy with our new getaway home. Thank you Mike & Carol!!
