There are not very many people in business that have ever impressed me. Let me take a moment of your time to tell you about one that has. Her name is Dana David. Dana is the definition of a realtor. I am not sure about your interactions with realtors but mine have been less than hopeful about the industry as a whole. It was by chance, even though I dont believe in chance, that Dana came into our lives. She was asked to stand in for someone else that we had been working with who was not really working as a realtor at the time. So no harm no foul. We needed help and she was available. She sat down with my wife and I to find out what we wanted in a home and went right to work on setting up showings. As we went through the showings she learned even more about our wants and desires. She got our list whittled down to the few that were in our market, price range, location. Mind you, we have 6 children and bring a lot of extra with us everywhere we go. Didnt phase her one bit. When we finally settled on a house to put an offer in we were a bit nervous. We had only owned one house previously and werent total strangers to the process but needed some more guidance. We just honestly told her we were open to her suggestions on how to win this house as our own. She gave us a list of things to do and we did every one of them just the way she told us to. WE GOT THE HOME! Wow, it was such a smooth process. Well, nothing is smooth in NY State with homes, but as smooth as it could be. Fast forward almost 3 years. Oh, before I forget, Dana personally kept up with us the whole time we lived there. No not just getting lazy auto mailers. I mean real phone calls and stopping by to say hi. Does anyone else have this good of a relationship with their realtor? So, we are at the place of wanting to sell our home. We knew we were out some months still and had some projects we were working on and some others we wanted to do. The thought dawned on usaEUR| If we sell this place we are going to go with Dana. We called her and told her what we were up to and asked if she could swing by for a long chat. She was over in a day or so and we gave her our list. She helped us focus on the most important things on the list to help make the biggest impact for us and for the next buyer. Man, we did it again! We did everything on her list with a little haggling about what we should and shouldnt do. It was a good back and forth dialogue. Before I get to the good stuff, I will tell you that we sold this house with her too, but dont want to spoil that just yet.So who is Dana David: On Time Intentional Listener Working like mad behind the scenes Encourager Industry Expert Friendly Confident Obsessed with helping you win CloserSo now for the good stuff. We finished all of our project on March 18th 2018. Dana had her professional photographer (which is a must, no cell phone pictures) come out on Monday March 19th. The pictures were selected and listed online by Monday the 26th. We left the house for a week starting Good Friday March 30th which was the first day showings were allowed. We knew it was going to be hot and were going to close taking offers on April 5th, the Thursday after Easter Sunday. We had somewhere around 25-30 showings from Friday to Thursday. Dana called us mid-morning on Thursday to say we have offers in hand. It was nerve racking. Then she started to tell us all the offers. They just kept getting better. The last offer she read us was the best. A Whopping $21,000 over our asking price! We were floored! I am not sure we could have gotten that kind of reward without Danas help. There is no other realtor to work with in Buffalo. She is the best.Brian and Amy Stickler
