TL;DR: Nancy is a wonderful Realtor. She will have your back, give you good advice, and has a remarkable team in place. She will genuinely care about you and do what is in your best interest.Full Review Below:When you hire a realtor its always a gamble. I mean, its one of the biggest financial transactions of your life, and youre asking a perfect stranger to help you with the complex details, to give you good advice, and fight on your behalf. Its really scary!Compound this with the fact that we were trying to buy a home in NC while living in California, and its a very intimidating experience indeed.After reading reviews online, we decided to give Nancy Dillard a shot. We called her and several other potential realtors, and she called back right away, even though it was 8 pm in North Carolina. The others didnt call back or did not do so until a few days later. We told her about a home we were considering, as well as the criteria of what we were looking for. She told us that she would meet us at the property and suggested a few other homes that matched what we were looking for.The day came when we arrived in the area. We met Nancy at the first home we wanted to look at and were so disappointed. The photos looked great, but when we saw it in person, we knew it wasnt the right home. Nancy lined up several other homes for us to look at all over the area, and we drove a LOT. The homes that matched our criteria were very spread apart and all over the Raleigh-Durham area, and Nancy, tirelessly led us from home to home, giving us room and time to explore, and answering any questions we had. The last home of the day, we fell in love. It didnt quite have as much land as we wanted, so Nancy called the selling agent, and negotiated for us to buy additional land from the seller at a very fair price!Over the next few weeks, she handled everything. We were back in California, so we were trusting her to do it all. Inspections, mold testing, checking on repairs... she did it all reliably with good communication. When we had a question, she always answered quickly, and if she didnt know the answer, she would tell us who to contact to get the right answer. I appreciated that she didnt BS or pretend to know, and steered us in the right direction.OK, up til now, it was just what youd expect from a good agent, but Nancy really set herself apart when things started going wrong.First, our mortgage broker, let us know that we couldnt get the loan they preapproved us for. We let Nancy know, and she put us in touch with a local lender who was PHENOMENAL. In a short time, they were able to get our loan approved with better terms than the national lender.Then, when the selling agent changed the terms of our contract last minute, she went to bat for us. Through her expert guidance, we were able to renegotiate and save a lot of money in the purchase. She rallied her incredible team and was able to quickly close, even though they needed to do EVERYTHING over again. Appraisal, loan, contract... her team got everything done super fast with incredible efficiency and accuracy. I cannot recommend Nancy enough as a real estate agent. She showed true heart and tireless advocacy for our best interests through the entire process. If you ever need a realtor who genuinely cares about you as a client, please call Nancy. I know I will if I ever buy another home.
