We couldn't have asked for a better realtor to guide us through the process of both buying and selling in Oak Park than Steve. Though much of our online research indicated we should use different agents to buy and sell, our search for a buyers agent did not produce anyone as prepared, organized, knowledgeable and easy to work with as Steve. We felt we would be cheating ourselves if we went with anyone else.Steves experience in the Oak Park area is absolutely incredible... when looking at properties it seemed there were a scant few that he hadn't either seen or listed before himself. We felt we benefited from his experience both as a realtor in Oak Park and as a father and husband raising his family in the village.Viewing properties with Steve was an education. He took time to systematically go through items we should pay particularly close attention to when viewing a home and would then indicate the implications of what we found for us the prospective buyer. Exclusive of the ends of buying and selling, I felt that what I had learned has improved my fund of knowledge as a homeowner. I'm that much more aware of items that require my attention and maintenance. As a sellers agent, Steve was detail oriented, thorough and accessible. He took care to take us step by step through the process explaining which details and steps were particularly critical and then following up with us to make sure we were on schedule and all items were attended to. His recommendations regarding staging was critical and his photographs were of a professional level quality. Our property showed brilliantly online and we received an offer inside of a week. During our experience with Steve, we had the impression that he was quite busy and in demand. Despite this demand, we never felt forgotten or unattended to. Steve made a point of making time for us and was always prompt when answering emails, phone calls, and requests for meetings. In his communication, he was always clear and concise yet through taking the time to make sure all of our questions were answered and we were satisfied moving forward. As clients, I felt we required a great deal of hand-holding and were perhaps a bit high maintenance. Steve never faltered and treated us with the same care and attention on day one as on the day of closing. We recommend him highly and without reservation.
