When my better half and I hit the home-buyer market we weren't really sure where or what our dream home looked like. We lived in a great rental spot and knew that we wouldn't move until we found something that truly rocked our socks off! After a not-so-nice encounter with another agent/agency, Dody connected with us right away and got us back into the market. We started with looking at land, which then turned to "fixer-upper" spots that held some long-term potential. Throughout a handful of visits, Dody subtly picked up on key traits and characteristics that we desired in a dream home. Through her contacts, we were able to see many spots throughout our area and be able to weigh the pros and cons of location, price, long-term potential, etc. We were lucky enough to see a home in Hyde Park that at the time had 2 other offers on the table. We too put in an offer as this home had everything we had dreamed of! Great land, beautiful views, enough room for a family to grow old in, and located right between our places of work! The home buying process is NOT easy, and us too hit a bump in the road when our bid was not selected for purchase. Alas, we were back on the market with some solid characteristics of what we were looking for. Now this is where Dody's connections and persistence truly paid off! A couple months later while looking at another home, she was the first person the Sale's Agent contacted when the house in Hyde Park was going back on the market! We were able to resubmit our offer before the house was listed again, and were rewarded with the home of our dreams! We still pinch ourselves that this home came back to us, but as we see it, everything happens for a reason! Lastly, during the closing process there were some issues on the "Sellers" end that would have postponed the closing date for multiple weeks. As we were ready to move-in and had shown to be up-to-date with our "Buyers" needs, Dody worked out a NO-FEE Lease for us to move-in to our home BEFORE the postponed closing date! This was not only convenient to move out when we had told our Landlord we would be vacated from our rental, but also a great initial feeling to be able to stick with a move-in date we had planned. Overall, we love the house we call home and love that Dody was able to help us all along the way!
