About Wendy Montroy
I've always been drawn to work that truly makes a difference in people's lives. Real estate feels like the perfect balance of connecting with others, using strategy, and solving problems, all while guiding people through significant life moments. It's gratifying to help someone find the right home, and watching those transitions happen keeps me inspired. As a mom to two wonderful daughters, I wanted a career that would let me be present for my family while still growing professionally. I started as a certified real estate appraiser. Through that work, I discovered how much I enjoyed interacting with buyers and sellers, which motivated me to become a licensed real estate agent in 2003 while working with a large developer-broker. Over the years, I've built my career around loyalty, hard work, and genuine care, whether I've been selling homes and land, working on bank-owned properties, providing broker price opinions, or serving as the executive officer for a board of REALTORS®. These experiences helped me develop strong skills in valuation, contracts, marketing, and compliance. When my husband Kenny retired, we decided to hit the road in our RV. We traveled across the country and eventually landed in Central Florida, where we fell in love with its lakes, sunshine, and welcoming communities. I enjoy fishing, camping, kayaking, and biking, outdoor activities that keep me grounded and energized for the work I love. I also stay active in the community through organizations like the General Federation of Women's Clubs of Leesburg and the Friends of the Public Library. The most precious moments are always with my children and grandchildren; those are the times I cherish the most. One of the transactions that really stands out involved helping a long-time snowbird who had spent over two decades enjoying winters in Florida. From preparing the home for market to coordinating everything remotely, we made what could have been a stressful time into a smooth and comforting transition.
