I have been a licensed Realtor since 1991. During this time I have taken pride in representing hundreds of Idaho clients in successful real estate transactions. Real estate is my lifelong profession where education and professional practices have always been of utmost importance and a cornerstone of my business. It is important to hire a REALTOR to assist you. Remember the listing agent is working for the Seller and their job is to get the Seller the most money for their home. Working with a buyer's agent won't cost you anything since the Seller pays for the commissions, but it will gain you so much by having someone who is looking out for your best interests. They can also set you up on a search so that the minute a new home is listed that meets your criteria you will be notified. The days of driving around neighborhoods looking for sale signs and calling the listing agent are over. In this competitive market homes that are priced well go within 1 week. If a home is sitting on the market then it is overpriced. If you want to purchase a home at the right price for the market then please work with a Buyer's agent.
Overall it is a Seller's market right now. Homes that are priced well are going faster than we can list them. Competitive pricing is always important even though the current market is tipped in your favor. First impressions make a big difference! When we first launch your home on the market we want to make sure that it looks its best. I work with a home staging company who can come out and give you suggests of how to set your home up to look its best. I also order professional photos from an experienced photographer who knows how to highlight your home's best features. I won't advertise your home for sale until it is ready. Once it is listed both agents and buyers will be notified if it meets their search criteria. With a combination of beautiful photos and compelling ad copy we will ensure that your home is shown by prospective buyers.
During the 26+ years that I have been a licensed real estate agent I have worked with all kinds of clients. From developing raw law to selling commercial real estate to selling starter homes to first time home buyers. Real estate is my lifelong career and passion. Unlike may agents this is my only job. At this point there isn't much that I haven't seen. I will put my past experience and expertise to work for you!
The transactions that I enjoy the most are the challenging ones. I enjoy negotiating and making deals work. May agents seek my counsel now since they know that solving difficult situations is my specialty.
After earning my MBA I was ready to go to work. Real estate was a natural fit for me. I was introduced to it by working with a real estate development and management company in Norwalk, Connecticut. My next position in real estate during the early '90's was selling lakefront condos in Whitefish Montana. After working for someone else for a few years I decided to open my own real estate office in NW Montana where I worked with buyers, sellers, investors, & developers. My business and family brought me to Idaho where I worked for Keller Williams Realty for 11 years until I met my current business partner, Kevin Carroll. Working at a big office like KW can be difficult. There is a lot of inter office dramas so Kevin and I decided to open our own real estate company in 2011. Since that time we have assisted hundreds of buyers, sellers, investors, and developers reach their real estate goals.
My main training has been that real estate is my lifelong career and passion. Unlike many agents this is my only job. I have focused on real estate for the past 26 years and I have learned so much from past experiences. I am also a Certified Residential Specialist which is a designation that fewer than 5% of real estate agents have today. I stay updated on all of the current laws and guidelines through continuing education.
