About Trevor Elliott
Welcome to Salem and the beautiful Willamette Valley -- Oregon's best-kept secret! Whether you're relocating, upsizing, downsizing, or investing, I'm here to guide you every step of the way. The Elliott Team started with my dad, Roger and after he retired in 2023 it changed to include a buyers agents, Chase Lopez. I've been helping clients buy, sell, and invest in Salem real estate since 2004, after planting roots here post-OSU. Over the past 20+ years, I've worked with first-time buyers, seasoned investors, and clients making big life moves -- many of whom come back or refer others. I don't just sell homes; I live the real estate lifestyle. I've flipped houses, owned rentals, and understand the emotions and logistics involved in every transaction. When I'm not working with clients, Adrianne and my three kids have my time -- or you'll find me at the gym, chasing coffee, or trying Salem's best eats (favorites include Xicha Brewing, Bo & Vine, and Dalia's Taqueria). My biggest advice is to get fully pre-approved before you start shopping so you know exactly what you can afford — it gives you a strong advantage when the right home hits the market. Second, be ready to move quickly and stay flexible; the best homes don’t last long, and having a clear strategy helps you win in a competitive environment. Third, you need me as your trusted advisior, spy, detective and confidant.
My top advice for sellers is to price your home strategically from day one — buyers know the market, and the right price creates strong demand and better offers. Also, focus on presentation: clean, declutter, and make small improvements so your home photographs right the first time and stands out online, where most buyers first discover it. Then I will design a strategy to expose it to all the potential buyers.
I have lot of great stories from every kind of buyer! Each one with a goal and but all want the same things. A stress free process and transaction. I got that dialed!
Recently, I helped some clients sell their home, and they moved into a rental with a one-year lease. Just a few months later, I listed a new home and instantly thought, "this would be perfect for them." I gave them a call on a whim, and it turned out their landlord was open to letting them out of their lease early — and they were just starting to think about buying again. I showed them the home, they absolutely loved it, and we wrote an offer that my sellers were thrilled to accept. It was truly the perfect match. In 21 years, moments like this don’t happen often, but when they do, it’s incredibly rewarding to be the one who brings it all together.
My Dad asked me to join him so I shadowed him and then right before graduating from Oregon State University we were painting one of his rentals when he fell of the ladder and broker his wrist and collarbone. He got patched up but couldn't drive to his listing and showing appointments so finished my finals, graduated and got a fast education on working day to day with clients. It was a great education!
Every transaction can be an education. Every client has taught me something about human nature. I have completed designation courses and enjoyed them. Working full time in this business is the best education!
