If youve ever bought or sold a home, you already know that everyone seems to know a aEURoerealtoraEUR? who can help. Ive purchased and sold several properties over the years and have worked with many agents and brokers, on both the buying and selling side. But I have never experienced such a positive, seamless, and well-executed process as I did with Lynne Minchello (and her husband Don) at The Denman Group. They are not your typical realtor team. They operate with a modern, tech-forward, and highly coordinated approach that makes the entire process smooth, efficient, and stress-free. What they deliver is truly a white-glove service in an industry that often feels outdated. For example: the day before the open house, Don was outside mowing a small strip of grass along the sidewalk that the landscapers had missed. He was also holding a hockeystick planning to clear a fallen branch off the roof making sure every detail was perfect. That level of hands-on care is unheard of. And as we approached closing, usually a chaotic whirlwind, I braced myself for all the typical last-minute tasks: meter readings, smoke certificates, utility final bills, etc. None of that stress ever surfaced. Lynne and her team proactively handled everything from replacing smoke detectors, coordinating inspections, even driving to the water department herself to finalize the bill the day before closing. All I had to do was approve things periodically. It was that easy. Even with everything Ive shared here, I still dont think I can fully express how exceptional these people and this team truly are. They are pioneers in their industry, and if youre buying or selling a home, you absolutely want them in your corner. I cannot recommend The Denman Group strongly enough.

This review is specifically for Pete Guiney. We were the buyers for a home that he was the listing agent for. While Pete did not represent us, he was extremely difficult to work with and made the buying experience stressful for us. We were out of state buyers navigating the logistics and complications of selling and buying a home at the same time. Pete's demeanor was extremely transactional, putting the people element last and was very eager to close the sale by the end of the quarter deadline. He was also challenging for our buying agent to work with and used a lot of passive aggressive tone in his responses. We have used Compass many times in the past for both buying and selling, and this is not the level of care we would have expected to encounter from a Compass agent. To make matters even worse, we felt like Pete was dishonest throughout the process saying whatever needed to be said to close the deal. In the home inspection, there was clear evidence of water staining in the basement with identifiable cracks. Pete kept denying the presence of any water saying that the seller had not observed this at all, yet there was clear photographic evidence of water marks and staining in the inspection report. The seller did agree to repair the cracks using a recommendation and friend of Petes. Fast forward to the present where we have now closed and moved into the house. To no surprise - we found a leak in the basement and water coming out of one of the cracks (see photo) during a heavy rainfall. We felt completely lied to and the work recommended by Pete was not done adequately (there is no warranty either for the sealing). As of present, Pete has been ignoring our agents messages. This situation really reflects on Petes character as an agent having zero regard for the people who buy the homes that he lists. For this reason alone, I do not recommend The Denman Group.
