Tim Hensley

I grew up in San Luis Obispo, California and at age 18 I left home to play tennis and make my living teaching tennis ( I now play pickleball ). After several years I went back to college and did my undergraduate work at BIOLA University in Southern California. I continued my education and graduated with a Master's Degree in Clinical Psychology from the International College of Los Angeles, which was a break from traditional class room education. I had a tutor, who mentored me through the course and practical work. I worked in the clinical setting for seven years working with families where abuse had taken place. At that time the insurance industry was going through significant changes and I left the clinical setting and entered into the financial industry allowing me to use both my clinical skills, caring for people and helping with their money. While in Southern California I obtained my real estate license and entered the financial industry. That was 1984, when I found a niche working int the mortgage departments in credit unions. Those 18 years that I managed mortgage departments across the country taught me a lot about money and the use thereof. It was during that time that held a real estate license, an insurance license, securities licenses, (6 & 63 ), and up until the end of 2009 a mortgage broker license With all the years of experience and knowledge, in 2007 I founded a HUD approved, 501(c)(3) non-profit housing counseling organization, Genesis Housing Services, which I remain the current Executive Director. As you can see from above, I have been in real estate over 35 years closing thousands of transactions. I have lived in Arizona since 2001.
