About Terri Boyer

We fell in love with the High Country after our first vacation here in 2008. We had such a connection to the area after many vacations, and even an engagement, that we decided to make it our permanent home! We met in college at the University of Central Florida in Orlando, Florida where Terri received her Bachelors of Science in Elementary Education as well as her Masters of Education in Reading Education and Derek received his Bachelors of Science in Exercise Science. He later went on to receive his Masters in Physician Assistant Studies from South University-Tampa. Terri taught fourth grade for a couple of years and spent a year teaching middle school reading before deciding to stay at home with their first daughter, Savannah. Derek is a retired Physician Assistant, during his practice, his primary areas were Emergency Medicine and Urgent Care. Terri and Derek have 3 children: Savannah, Paisley, and Maverick along with 2 German Shorthaired Pointers: Brownie and Happy. Our passion for real estate sprouted from our own home buying and selling experiences. We found a connection to all the intricacies that come with buying and selling and how confusing and overwhelming it can be to buyers and sellers. We quickly realized it was important to have a knowledgeable Realtor who was not only an expert in their craft, but who was also willing to explain in detail all the steps along the way, answering all our questions. That was the moment we knew we wanted to help people with likely the largest purchase/sale, and possibly financial decision they may ever make in their lives and to see the joy we help bring to buyers and sellers upon handing a buyer their new keys or a seller their return on investment! Originally, we started our real estate career in the state of Florida and are familiar with multiple markets between the states. Buying and selling a home can be stressful. Community Involvement

Terri and Derek are actively engaged in giving back both locally and globally. They support the local humane society through donations of time and needed supplies, contribute a portion of every commission check to an international non-profit, and provide annual support to the local PTSO as well as community assistance organizations. In addition, they participate each year in Keller Williams' Red Day, dedicating their time and resources to service projects that benefit the High Country community.

HOBBIES/INTEREST

When were not helping our clients buy and sell real estate, we enjoy spending time with our 3 kids Savannah, Paisley and Maverick and 2 dogs Brownie and Happy.

FAMILY

Derek proposed to Terri on Beech Mountain in 2010 and they have been married since 2013. They are raising their 3 beautiful children (Savannah, Paisley and Maverick) here in the High Country.

I cannot say enough about Derek & Terri Boyer. I had a negative experience with another realtor & cold-called Derek in a panic one morning. In a market where homes were flying off the shelf within hours, Derek & Terri met me at the property lickity-split. That particular home turned out not to be the one, but the next home was a go! After a year of working with another realtor, Derek & Terri have us moving into our new home now! From my initial call to them, to closing, was less than two months. Thats in a market with no inventory! They answered countless phone calls, and solved problems in the background that I didnt even know to worry about! They worked closely with the lender & contractors involved, while we switched gears multiple times. To me, responsiveness & local expertise were the most important factors. They gave me those in spades. In a world where renovation estimates have become insane, we even discussed all the DIY options & plan to do most of it ourselves. I have no doubt that they will still be available for advice. We couldnt be more excited & thankful. There will likely be another transaction within the next year, and there is no question that I will be calling on Derek & Terri. Did I mention we did this entire transaction from another state? Yet, they made it seamless. Top notch! Please call them. You will not be disappointed!

My husband and I met Terri Boyer a couple years ago, we had been referred to her from a friend. We came over from the Nashville Tn. Area looking for a home in Lenoir N.C. Around the first week of March 2019 and Terri had 8 lined up for us to see. She was very professional, courteous and so easy to work with. We found our house the same day, signed the contract and closed April 17th 2019 and are so excited to move in our new home.
