Tanya was our agent to buy a house in the Kona area (most of it remotely) along with another family member. Throughout the process, Tanyas service was exceptional, taking into account, the requirements of 2 families. She spent several days showing us properties when we visited the Big Island and continued looking and showcased properties via video recordings after our visit. She proactively identified properties, recorded the viewing and spent hours on the phone answering questions. The entire process took several months; She is patient and is not in a hurry to close the transaction and has advised us on the path even when it meant walking away from a deal; Tanya has deep knowledge of the area and can connect with the right folks to find details/background on a given property. She continues to engage with us after the closing, helping in finding the maintenance crew for the house. We would highly recommend Tanya for anyone looking to buy/explore real estate in the Big Island

First I want to say, that we would highly recommend Tanya Sunshine. We completed two real estate transactions with her. In 2019 we had Tanya list our vacation rental on Alii Drive. Tanya helped us sell our condo for the top price and it still currently is the top price at Banyan Tree. Tanya shared with us some marketing strategies with us during that transaction, that we used to successfully sell our California home For Sale By Owner. Then we ready to purchase our dream home in Hawaii. One reason we originally chose Tanya was that we were open to buying a leasehold, although we ended up not buying one. Tanya's knowledge about leaseholds was incredibly helpful for us as we evaluated the properties that met our criteria. Instead we bought a home on an acre in Captain Cook. Tanya was very patient with us as we were actively looking over the course of a year. Once we were in contract on our home, some issues were discovered with the roof. The owner insisted he would not offer any concessions. Tanya masterfully negotiated and the price was reduced and we ended up with some furniture that we liked in the house. Since we have purchased our home and now live here, Tanya has been so helpful with recommendations when we needed a fence built, a cleaner, etc. We feel we can call on her whenever we have a question. I believe this is our last home purchase for our lifetime, however if we were to purchase another home, I would choose to use Tanya again.
