ZillowVERIFIEDOur experience with Tamarah Curtis of Creighton Realty Partners was a very negative one. We hired Tamarah after interviewing several agents. She came in prepared and had a confident, knowledgable attitude. We were relocating out of state, so it was important that our agent would communicate with us regularly. Tamarah reassured us that she would take care of any issues that came up and that she would stay in contact with us throughout the process. Unfortunately, she did not follow through on her promises and could not deliver. Thankfully we had security cameras in the home, which allowed us to view some of the showings. Under her listing time, an agent was showing the house that allowed a dog to be brought in. The dog peed on the carpet in one of the bedrooms. When Tamarah was made aware of this, she said she would take care of the situation and have the carpet cleaned as we were all concerned about a lingering urine smell. The following day she went into the home and sprayed some cleaner on the stain. To our shock and disbelief, she then had her young daughter get down on the carpet and sniff around for any urine odor. The stain was never professionally cleaned even though the showing agent offered to pay for it. Her unprofessional behavior continued throughout our contract with her. There was an extreme lack of communication, and we had to contact her to get feedback from showings. A former neighbor had already seen our home and put in an offer. Tamarah did not respond to their agent. After waiting a week, this potential buyer actually sent me a text alerting me that Tamarah was non-responsive, so they were pulling their offer. We, at that point, decided to fire Tamarah and have her release us from the contract. We went back to the house to meet with new agents. Upon our arrival, we were further disappointed by the fact that the house had not been professionally cleaned. We had hired a cleaning lady, to be handled by Tamarah. We were facing a deadline to move and did not have time to clean. She once again assured us that she could handle this, but it was just another false promise. There were bags of trash and wet towels left around the home. It was not just a matter of dusting or vacuuming that needed to be done. The house had not been deep cleaned, as was evident by the rotting food in the fridge and food scraps stuck to cabinets. Shockingly, she allowed showings and open houses to occur with the home in this condition. All around bad experience with Tamarah Curtis. Lack of professionalism and communication.
Selling or buying property can be a very emotional process. The process would have been easier if you did not try and disregard a legal document. However, I am appreciative that we did not have to go to court and you paid per the attorneys request. I do hope you and your family are doing well in your new area.
