Don't let yourself keep getting beat out on that home you want. There is more to helping you get into your new home than setting up a showing appointment and printing out MLS sheets.

Interview more than one agent. Anyone can put a sign in the yard and get your home on multiple sites by putting it in MLS, but who is going to get your home SOLD. Find out what the marketing strategy is and the resources you will be given. Sure, you want a "nice" agent, but this is about increasing the amount of money you make on this sale, so hire a sharp business person, not a "nice" salesperson.

I have worked with almost all types of folks. Unlike most, I have an inclusive diversity statement that incorporates my desire and ability to partner with agents on my team so that we have an agent for all members of our community. Everyone has different needs and goals, and it is through communication and a combined effort that we can exceed our clients’ expectations.

Really, anytime that I see a client able to take on a new chapter in their life because of my efforts. First time home buyers really appreciate what you do, as they tend to start off the most unsure. I love when a client is able to sell their home, making a profit so that they can realize the pay off of their investment and make their way towards their next goal. Lastly, I get a LOT of repeat and referrals, which is proof to me that my clients see that value and passion that I bring.

I was an investor and was not happy with the way that I perceived the real estate industry. I thought it was full of folks concerned more with closing a deal and making a check than taking care of me. I trademarked the term "Keeping it REAL in Real Estate" and created my vision statement of "to be the face of innovation and change in modern day real estate" as a way to remind myself of why I am here and do what I do. I do not set my goals based on commissions or closed deals, but instead on client transitions.
